It's being reported that the lad's broken down in training with the same injury. According to TalkSport Real Madrid are looking into his contract with a view to a mutual termination.

If it's true his career is as good as over.

I think it's the latter, they initially blamed Newcastle for Woodgate's injury problems but they've been unable to solve them.

And yes, Newcastle were pissing their sides. ;)

It's a big shame if true, I understand the Real president did try to rush him back into fitness last season, which is what lead to the first breakdown.

Hopefully he can get his career back on track even if its somewhere else. He's a very talented player and was never dependent on his physical abilities anyway.
