View Full Version : WE8 "Environment" Question

I'm in my second season of the ML, using the default WE United players plus a few I managed to buy. I earned enough WEN to give myself 50K points to start the ML, and to put the teams in their proper leagues (as much as possible- I divided up the teams into La Liga, Serie A, EPL/Old Firm, and one with a combination of everyone else- Holland, Germany, Cruzeiro and the other SA teams, the Turk teams, greek teams, etc). I am playing in the EPL/Old Firm, but I keep up with the other leagues' standings.

Before I started the ML, I played a bunch of matches and tournaments to gain WEN to start the ML. I won all the continental Cups and the International Cup. I used Real Madrid to win La Liga and Inter to win Serie A. Now that I'm in the ML, both Real and Inter are undefeated and untied in their respective leagues after 20 matches. Ronaldo is the WEFA's leading scorer with -get this- 59 goals. Beckham has 42 assists. Is this a coincidence, or is it because I had used them to play 38 matches earlier?

There's an "Environment" save after every match. When you use a team, does this "Environment" save after every match somehow add to that team's ability to win matches whether you use that team in ML or not? And are these teams going to be impossible to beat once I face them in WEFA competition?

I actually gave this some thought when I was playing the international tournaments. To win the International and American Cup, I used Brasil on my usual 4-star setting. But I used Norway to win the European Cup, Iran to win the Asian Cup and Tunisia to win the African Cup, and Australia for the Oceania Cup. I played 5-minute matches and set the difficulty for these Cups on 1. I didn't want to use France/Germany/Italy/England/Holland in Europe and have it bite me on the ass in later International Cups. Same with Nigeria/Cameroon/Senegal in Africa, and so on.

Is there some connection between using a team and that team's ability later, when you're playing against them?

only in the master league do the stats of teams and players change, but those changes are only in master league mode.

example if you buy a young robben 19yr's old say and train him up until all his stats are in the high 80's - 90's,quit your game and go play as holland and his stats will be totally differant as will his age probably.

the only way to make a player or team better outside the master league, would be to use the edit mode to up all the players stats.

Thanks for your response. I think maybe I haven't made my question as clear as I should have.

I used Real to win the Spanish League (non-ML) and Inter to win the Italian league (non-ML). Now, in the ML, both those teams are so far ahead of their respective competition that I'm wondering if it didn't have something to do with my using them outside of the ML.

I know the player and team attrubutes per se don't change, but how do you explain both RM and Inter beng undefeated and untied 23 matches in? Ronaldo having (two matches since my last post here) 66 goals, Owen 39 and Figo 35? Beckham with 46 assists, Robert Carlos 40 and Figo 39? The team's only scored 88 goals all told in league play, according to the Team Info screen. They couldn't possibly have made up the difference in the WEFA championships. I'm playing in the EPL, so I can't see what they're doing on a match by match basis, but something's wrong here. Hell, with Real putting up those numbers, I couldn't win the WEFA ML scoring title if I played 30 min. matches on 1 star.

What, exactly, does "environment" do?

im 99% positive enviroment save is the new pes shop points earned thats why it saves after every match, but it still doesnt affect teams outside the master league mode.

i know were your comeing from on the amount of goals scored by the other teams etc...but it's all done by a random process, example the computer decides that madrid are a better side than west brom and madrid will win three nil.it then has to decide who scored the three goals and i presume it goes by the higher the stats the more probable ronaldo scored the goals.it's all laws of averages i guess.

mines exatcly the same mate, sheva always has way too many goals,17 in the cup f.f.s. but the enviroment save has nothing to do with it.
