so he's considering playing for Russian club Avangard Omsk, which is willing to pay him millions, in a less competitive environment with fewer games. He has already played there in the past (lockout) season.

How is this related to soccer?

Avangard Omsk is also owned by His Highness, Roman Abramovich. So he is not only creating havocs in the European soccer scene, but the NHL as well...

Honestly, I don't think that there would be too many hockey fans in North America who would be too sorry to see him go.

How interesting! As a hockey fan I think it would be a bad thing for the NHL to loose Jagr. But it doesn't surprise me that Abramovich would want to have the best team in the Russian league.

Can't blame him, they play to make cash, not keep the NHL happy. If he can make more in Russia, more power to him.

Maybe he just likes playing in a league he can still score in.
