i hit 335-8. lost 4 wickets in the 50th over, so i still collapsed, but I actually made it to 50 overs!! I usually don't.
I'm not bowling too hot right now, but he's 1 run under the required run rate.
nice total... if you can keep him under the rate long term or pick up a wicket or two short term you will be fine, that's an almost impossible total to chase.
in my game things are going smoothly...
End of Over 15: 88-0, runrate=5.87, reqrunrate=2.66 (180-10)
Wills 1-0-1-0
Wilkey* 42 (39 balls)
North 40 (53 balls)

That 335-8 is an outstanding target, I should think... you'd need a pretty weak bowling lineup (or a pretty outstanding opposing batting lineup) to fail to hold it up.
I'm going to be relying on my middle bowlers to come through... the openers have gotten things off to a good start with the three wickets, but they're not quite able to hold the required economy rate right now.

I managed an easy iwn today. After a rough couple of weeks I managed to get just over 300 today.
Bowled him out for less than 200 IIRC.
In real life cricket the second test between England and Australia is turning into a fascinating contest ... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/cricket/default.stm

good lord. That should be an easy win.
no wickets so far, but I'm keeping his run rate down.
End of Over 20: 91-0, runrate=4.55, reqrunrate=8.17 (335-8)
Dunfield 5-0-26-0

yeah, you've got it sewn up i should think... 20overs at 7runs per over is very difficult, but 8 runs an over, over 30 overs... that's impossible.
me, I'm crusing...
End of Over 29: 146-1, runrate=5.03, reqrunrate=1.67 (180-10)
Wills 8-1-25-1
Wilkey* 64 (82 balls)

i'd say you'll win that one.
End of Over 26: 120-2, runrate=4.62, reqrunrate=9.00 (335-8)
Owen 3-0-10-0
Littler* 8 (14 balls)
Alleyne 15 (10 balls)
got two wickets in successive overs and he now needs 9 runs an over for the rest of the match!

we won 2 different ways... me, good bowling performance to make it easy on my batsmen, you superb batting performance to make it impossible for him... good wins all round.

The middle bowlers come through for me, as Newsome (a seam bowler) and Liburd (a spinner) combine for seven wickets over about as many overs to close out Batletico for a 79 run victory. Although Liburd gets the man of the match from the reporter, I give a join award to Newsome and Best for their 100-run partnership at a time when it looked like my innings would be done around 100 runs, with Newsome getting extra credit for also taking three wickets while bowling (even if his economy was considerably higher than usual).

I'd have given it to him as well... runs given up can usually be ignored when wickets are taken and when a bowler scores runs and takes wickets... well, that's pretty darned handy.

this is great:
37.2 W Dunfield to Doolan
smacked the ball straight into the groin of Evanson who fell over, miraculously with the ball still caught in his scrotal area! Out!

I look forward to extending my dominance over you into two other realms outside of fantasy football. My next move is to wait for someone in VSR to become disinterested so I can take over a team there and beat you twice in one league... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
