213-5 after 39 overs. one wicket between scoring more runs and a total collapse. i'd be very happy with 250 at this point!

284 all out after 48.4 overs. high scoring for a slow pitch!!

the chase is on:
End of Over 11: 56-2, runrate=5.09, reqrunrate=5.87 (284-10)
this is going to get interesting, because one of my bowlers ain't too good, gave up like 60 runs for no wickets in the last match he played in and he's already given up 6 runs from 2 balls!

9 runs from his first over. i'm going to have to train him a little more before he plays again. or sell him

I got a sweet win on Friday, playing TIE at a team that was ahead of me in the standings. The target of 179-10 looked pretty reachable, but my bowlers got a couple of wickets around 50 runs in and then closed the door between 130 and 150. At this point, I may have the best top-to-bottom bowling lineup in the series, at least with all of them in good form. Jamie Newsome dropped a ridiculous 10-2-11-2 line, while all-arounder Chris Surman chipped in 72 runs and three wickets.
In my friendly, I forgot to set a non-defaulted lineup, and I absolutely killed Atlanta Mosquitos. My batsmen set a 320-6 target (albeit with about all of the decent batsmen out at that point), Surman leading the way with 141 runs on 132 balls (the openers totaled 220+). Then my bowlers added insult to injury by bowling them out for 46 runs in 15 overs  (Devon Liburd didn't even get to bowl...). I probably would have still won by a lot with a friendly lineup, as the openers would have been the same and a lot of the bowlers would have been the same, but still...

Well, at least I scored some points in the cup. My 17 year old hot shot caught fire with 116 runs. It seems like I'm able to get one of my batsmen to have a big game each time, but not all. A guy who got a century on Friday ended up scoring a measly eight runs this time.
I PIC'd this one, and will MOTS on Friday.

nice win. first loss for me in 16 matches (league and friendlies).
i didn't bowl too well. figured it would be a low scoring match on a slow pitch, but that was not the case. My allrounder did ok. Hit 66 not out (ran out of parteners in the lower order) and bowled bad, 62 runs from 10 overs for no wickets. Hopefully the two nets sessions, fitness, and batting I've got him on will get him better for next season.
I've got the number two team next week at home. I'm 4 points ahead of him so if he wins we are tied and then its all about net RR. I'm about 2 runs ahead of him in that category. I'm debating how I want my team to play. I'm thinking of playing "Go for It" but I don't know if my players will go crazy and be too aggresive and get a low total. The team I'm playing has had a lot of game where he's bowled out the other side for like 80-100 runs. We'll see.

Definitely GFI this one. You're crazy not to. Since they'll reset morale and fitness levels at the end of the season, there won't be any repercussions for going for it. Also, since the first two teams will be promoted, you're in the clear.

yeah, i know promotion is a lock, but I would still like to finish in first and get the most money.

True. I'm also going for prize money as well, and with some good luck, I could be promoted.
And I'm beginning to progress to a point where I can consistently break even, even on weeks with no home match.

money hasn't been a problem for me though. I've go 305k in the bank. i'm losing 4k right now, but I'll be up about 50-60k from my home match this week. I'm mulling around spending 250k on another allrounder that is mediocore batting and competant in bowling.

I've been stagnant between 50k and 80k in the black all season. I've hired two economists, who are starting to pull in interest, and I have a full slate of PR guys, who have pulled in about 25k last week in sponsor money alone. I'm wondering what I should do with my prize money at the end of the season, however.

Sulieman Seargeant pops to strong batting to go along with his proficient consistency. Only 17 years old. :D
