That's what you get for signing up in England or Australia! :p
woohoo the Windies!!
i hope they drop a lot of the bot teams in the Windies and add some more. My buddy is chomping at the bit to get a Battrick team

Pretty much every first-place team will earn promotion, since everyone above is a bot. Only an outright miracle could promote me, or send me out of the prize money, so these final games are fairly meaningless. I'm optimistic about next season, however. If my guys can improve their consistency and stamina, things should go well.

In the Windies, all first place and second place teams will promote. That will replace somewhat less than half of the bots (normally only a quarter of those teams would promote), presumably swapping out the bottom half of II. The addition of a division IV will greatly overshadow that change, though... that will be more new teams than are already present in the country put together.

I'm currently 4 points out of first and 2 ahead of second. These last 2 games mean something for my team but I have no idea what I'm doing so I'm not going to do anything other than keep my lineup the way it is and hope for the best.
go Windies!

sh!t... did not realize top 2 would be promoting... that's not good then... I'm in 3rd and if I win both my matches (beat old #1 playing new #1 this week) and he loses both of his I can tie him but he'd have to suffer heavy losses cuz he's got me on runrate... I can't promote... its not close enough but damnit I feel unlucky cuz i lost 2 matches by less than 10 runs.

i'm bowling now. have the other team at 47-3 after 13 overs. keep it up lads!
my opening bowler has taken 3 wickets. I think he is deadly when he's got attacking orders

bowled them out for 193
and I'm at 22-0. solid start

trouble for me... the team I'm playing is #1 and they have not surrendered more than 250 in the last 6 games or so... they put up 292. I'm very nervous. Off to a slow start too... I'm gonna need some good performances all the way through and since I've got a guy who has 3 50's batting at 8 my motto is hit out or get out. As I type I lose a wicket... crap... I think I'm gonna lose this one.

that sucks. The all-arounder I bought did ok. 2 wickets for 50 odd runs. I think he got tired because his first 7 overs were fantastic. Then he gave up overs of 12 runs and 11 runs. I've got him training stamina as of right now, hopefully it won't take too long to pop!

When do Cup games start?
I finished 3rd this time. A big improvement.
From last season's 6th place finish. Right now my:
Cash funds are: -185 900 US$ (-88 869) US$
but when i get out of the red, I'm going to get a super expensive coach. Blows to train so much, and make small imporvements w/my hard-working yet, cheap coach.

I'm dead in the water... worst batting performance ever 85/6

i think someone thought this was the HATtrick thread!!!
johno, thats not good. i'm at 114-1. run rate isn't that high. I seem to have a better run rate in friendlies when i tell my guys to take it easy.

well, we've made it respectable... told you I batted all the way down...
End of Over 33: 171-6, runrate=5.18, reqrunrate=7.47 (297-7)
Gaskin 10-1-59-2
Dushantha* 50 (54 balls)
North 40 (46 balls)
very very slight chance of victory, better chance of not losing by more than 75 runs and slim hopes of being the first team to come within 40 runs of beating them AND scoring more than 250.

End of Over 50: 317-2, runrate=6.34
Is this good or something? One of my players scored 153. What's the 2 after the 317?

LOL...
its very good... 317 is the number of runs you scored. the "2" is the number of wickets you lost, or the number of batsmen who got out. Unlike baseball, in a limited overs cricket match batsmen only get one crack at it.
The player who scored 153 is going to get laid tonight.

Sweet, I was hoping I would get this answer. Looks like I'll be promoting. :D

good 8 wicket win for my squad, however once again the run rate was on the low side. 192 runs from 41.2 overs. Thats ok, but I was putting up high 200s easy before, which only seems to happen in friendlies!

Easy, easy win. 319-4, and I bowled them out at 154 in the 31st over.
If I win next week, and the second place team loses, I'm promoted!

Turns out promotion isn't safe yet, I need to win next week. Good thing I have an awesome team. I'm going to MoTS er... GFI next match.
