jebus, that guy's good. i'll have to plan for him in the cup match on sunday!
well, my batsmen decided to not score runs at a good rate for the second league match in a row. the cup match last week they did score at a good rate. anyways, bowled out the other team for 140 and i'm at 48-0 from 13 overs for a magnificent run rate of 3.69

i'm at 87-1.
Coleman my captain hits his half century and then gets caught at the rope and denied a six on the next ball. grrrr

Well I am getting hammered now. Win Lose Win Lose. Most inconsistent team in the damn game.

115-1 right now.
i don't know why my batsmen aren't scoring runs. three games ago they were crushing the ball everywhere. One of my players is defensive, so maybe I need to set him at attacking to get the runs in. But i've played him at "normal" all season and his average is 40.00 with 5 50s.

well, with the wickets in hand, I'm sure you will get there... u only need 90 runs or so and that can be had in 25 overs easily.
update in my game...
End of Over 26: 122-3, runrate=4.69, reqrunrate=8.71 (330-3)
its pretty much over... 3 wickets down, they can't have more than 2 good batsmen left and to reach the total they and keep up w/ the run rate they will have to lose wickets... I should win by 75 runs or more.

there run rate is too low right now, you'll win your match for sure.
and I won mine. 141-1 from 31.2 overs. two half centuries and a 22 from 32 balls. Keeps me in first place with 2 matches left!! The guy in second just keeps steamrolling his opponents (like bowling them out for 120 or less), but when he played me we had a good match, but his lower order collapsed for like 7 runs.

I got a nice win at home, 277-10 over 250-10, to move up to 4th place today, and the club is on a nice winning streak now. It may come to an end next week against a tough squad on the road, but it's been a good run.
Concurrent with this, I'm starting to wonder if stamina is underestimated as a skill for one-day matches in this game. Form fluctuations aside (and there's no question having my best batsmen in good form is a big difference), that's been the largest skill change since my club's fortunes picked up.
All-arounder Chris Surman took four wickets today, but three of them were vultured after the match was already in hand with a virtually unreachable required run rate in the late overs. The reporter gave him the MOTM award, but in my mind, the low value of the wickets taken and his poor showing at the front of the lineup (out after 12 runs) means it should go to someone else. My pick would be opener Sulieman Seargeant, who put up a blistering 82 runs on 72 balls before retiring on an unfortunate catch.

Good win for me today. My 2nd and 4th batsmen got a half-century, and my 3rd batsman got a century (his thrid of the season). The top four teams all played a team in the bottom four, and the better team won all the games. Next week, the top two play each other, while a play the seventh place team, who is well off the pace. This is what the top four looks like:
1. Unabrow Rangers 36 pts. 13.20
2. SoVo 36 pts. 10.01
3. Barmy Army SL 32 pts 7.95
4. Scouse Cricket 32 pts 0.37

Went 302-5 to start out, but I'm getting hammered on bowling, with over seven runs an over.

You got a great score against me. But these two are by far my best batsmen. I hope they can get close enough to the total before you get them out.

I am only able to watch for another 20 minutes or so, then I have to leave for a footy match to play myself.
This looks like it could be a close finish. I would imagine when you break this partnership I will be a dead duck.

I like the league matches on Fridays as I can catch the first teams score before I leave for work and then watch the run chase at work until about 1030 or 1100 Central, makes my Friday mornings go quicker :D
