Went 248-10 to start. And now I'm moving the runrate down to where I need it to be. Only have one wicket so far, however, after 17 overs.

thats a good start, you'll probably have a good game on your hands. we need to tell the supporters about this Cup, so they will show up!!! :p

What's a 'mexican wave'?
no ball, We have a mexican wave going around the crowd. That just about sums up the current demeanour of the batting side.

At the end of over 43
214-4 runrate=4.98 reqrunrate=5.00 (248-10)
This defines nail-biter.

that's where the crowd interacts with each other in a choreographed move that simulates a wave by people getting to their feet and raising their hands above their heads and then sitting down with the "wave" moving laterally around the stadium.

yeah, good game... i just wish the guys would bat more attacking, i had 2 accomplished batsmen still to come who have between them 4 50's and 1 100 i just wish my guys would bat like they can.

kopite, great game!! only won by 17 runs. i tried 3 spin bowlers on the dusty pitch, worked out ok.
Huddlestone is a beast. at least my players picked a good game to all hit well, too bad it was a friendly
It was a good game, pity my lower order sucked enough ass to give you the win :))

Wow, I got whacked in my match, bowled out for a little over 100, an easy target. I even forgot to set more of a friendly lineup, which I would have thought would have given me a shot at a win.

You were playing KC Hammers right?
That's my buddy Cain and his team is freakin incredible.
Don't feel bad, he has already whupped on me and Chris (Helghallen) in previous friendlies.
Based on matches played so far he is the unofficial BigSoccer Battrick Cup favourite.

Yeah. His bowlers are pretty good. I might have been able to pull it out with a better target, as his batsmen weren't putting up a particularly good rate, it's just that with the target so small, they could afford that.

Well, looks like I've got the basics of Cricket down now.
Some of the vernacular terms escape me, but the gist of it is relatively clear.
Now to put it to good use. See if I can win a game or two here at the end...

If you do have any questions fire away. Played in high school and university so I have a fair idea of the chinaman and the googly ;)

Ha! I read about the chinaman the other day.
I'll give a few queries later... I've only been able to catch a few matches live so the 'flavor' of the sport is still new to me.
Training -> +5 form -3 form (I think I had one player drop 3 form levels - or I recorded his last form incorrectly)
and one pop in consistency.

As you will discover battrick training is very very slow .... :(

Had one of bowlers go up one level in bowling and consistency or whatever the bowling secondary is.
Otherwise, nothing too exciting.
