things have evenned out now... he's batting well, but not great and I'm not pleased w/ my bowlers, but I'm not cursing them either....
217/2 after 41 overs... RR at 5.29 and well within my reach.

My Martinique Serpents are playing well. Certainly takes the sting out of near-certain relegation over in Hattrick.

THOSE BASTARDS!!! They made 299 thanx mainly to 25runs in the last 2 overs.
Amazing finish from them... a target of 300 is attainable, but certainly not a pushover... time to test his bowling...
Thus far the re-arranged batting order has worked well, off to a flyer... 32/0 after 5 overs.

Rest easy, my batters couldn't hit water if they fell outta the boat.
its close right now. you are less then a run under the run rate required

I managed to win this morning, scoring 299 all out and restricting my opponent to 273 al out. Close match. He was in second, I vault above him now and claim second for myself.
I just wanna get training and word that the top two teams get promoted instead of just the top team ;)
I play against 1st place next week ...

My run chase is going well, I've got 142/1 after 21 overs...
Wilkey, who always comes good, came good... and after the vibrant start, Nott's come in and done well also.

yeah, i'm going to win this one, only need one wicket and there are 100 runs left.
however, i'm a bit perturbed by the fall of my wickets. i lost three in a row and two in 3 balls and two in a row. not good

I'm thrilled with my economy of wickets while batting, only conceding three. I'm much less thrilled with my strike rate, as the target is quite reachable at 232-3. Right now, they're at 137-3 after 30 and a shade behind the target run rate, so I'm thinking I'll likely need to take the wickets; my opening bowlers aren't economical enough to hold the rate down that much.

Ugh, just gave up 24 runs in three overs. If my bowlers can't be economical, they need to be aggressive. :(

Wilkey's 3rd century in 11 innings combines nicely with 3 50's as well... he's not out on 104 from 96 balls and we are cruising right where we need to be.
End of Over 36: 219-2, runrate=6.08, reqrunrate=5.79 (299-4)
Tynan 8-0-59-0
Drummond* 16 (18 balls)
Wilkey 104 (96 balls)

yeah, those guys are taking it to the attack with a great deal of determination (my word, am i talking about a computer simulation?)
we've got it sewn up... Wilkey=MOTM he'll probably get 135

you must've given a good team talk between the innings

My bowlers pulled out the road TIE win, and on an unsuited pitch yet (dry for mostly seam bowlers).
MOTM is again Chris Surman, as the all-arounder does it all in his second straight match. He got 76-124-5-1 batting and 7.4-1-35-6 bowling. I think he's now the club leader in wickets taken after back-to-back fivers. (After checking, it turns out he's not -- with a wicket taken today, Jamie Newsome remains on top with 26. Newsome turned in a solid 10-1-30-1 bowling line.)
I feel a little sorry for Soviet Canuckistan, my opponent, check out the FOWs of this collapse: 200/4 200/5 202/6 203/7 207/8 211/9 211/10 . Chasing 232-3, a little bit more batting would have done the job as they were on the required run rate.

wow, thats a collapse.
i read that Battrick might have first class matches soon, if they do i hope the lower order bowlers don't collapse as fast as they do in the one day matches

kopite, great game!! only won by 17 runs. i tried 3 spin bowlers on the dusty pitch, worked out ok.
Huddlestone is a beast. at least my players picked a good game to all hit well, too bad it was a friendly
