thanks.

one thing i've yet to get a hold of is the names of all the deliveries in cricket.

my team can be unpredictable too. I put up 335-2 in my league game last week, but then only got 232 all out in 47 overs in the friendly. Mtkil's team must just be that much better (or the fact that I told my team to "take it easy"!!)

should be a good match. I might give a new bowler a run out, one of the guys I pulled from the youth academy who I've been training for a while. If the training doesn't come in I probably won't play him.

I'll be taking it easy in our cup match and playing my back up wk to keep his form up (I am training him and want to keep his BT rating high)

what is your coaching status???

I've got 10

5 batting
4 bowling
1 wicketkeeper

I wish I could have more coaches... I need about 3 more slots really... I might just sell off 1/2 batsmen and swap a batting coach for a bowling coach cuz I've got 2 bowling trainees who could use heavy training, 1 short term and the other long term...

still no training.

does anyone know how long it takes nowadays to get a Battrick team? I've got a buddy who wants in, but doesn't want to wait long. I told him that some teams are changed midseason and that the season is going to be over soon so more teams might open up.

AAGunner3 how long were you on the waiting list for?

I read the Q&A transcript and they are expanding all the leagues when the current season ends, so I would imagine if he applied now he would get in during the off season break -- which isn't too far off.

A month or two ago? Sometime well after the initial rush.

cool, i'm going to tell him to apply to join, seeing as the season will be over soon, and its only a month or so. I think I waited for like 2-4 weeks

lost two wickets in the 3rd over!!

both lbw, i guess they were both dodgy decisions.

AAGunner3, we got a match on our hands!!

still no **********en training!!! what the hell man... i better get training for last week.

EDIT:

Getting my @ss handed to me... despite adding a #2 bowler I'm giving up tons of runs early and not getting any wickets... I've got a strong and a respectable bowling right now and we've managed to give up 92 runs in 14 overs without taking a single wicket!!! Very unlike me... I don't have a good feeling about this.

yeah seriously,

i can't believe i lost my openers to two lbw decisions within the span of 3 balls. both those guys averages are like 30-40 (i think). looks like they picked the same day to blow it. hopefully i can recover, but for some reason I can't score any runs. my run rate is at 2.54 right now after 13 overs, pathetic

ouch... 2 wickets down and a poor runrate=not good...

of course my situation, giving up 110 runs after 17 overs and not taking any wickets is pretty bad too...

these guys are gonna get over 320 unless they have a dramatic collapse... thankfully I redid my batting order to take advantage of my attacking and destructive players so hopefully I'll have a shot at getting close to the target, although right now, its not looking great.

yup, not good. i think my bowlers are going to have to win me this one. I'm giving a new one his debut. he's a feeble on bowling and replacing another feeble bowler, so we'll see what happens.

i'm at 68-2. if i get 150 it'll be a miracle

I just got a pretty rare run count for a ball - seven scored on a no-ball six.

We're chugging along at 108-0 after 23.3, with my openers putting up their second consecutive solid innings after really going off in the last one. This is easily my best extended run (across multiple matches) of batting.

conceeded just 24 runs in the last 8 overs to peg the scoring rate back and it looks like I may have a shot at holding them to arond 300... they've lost the faster scoring opener and its now 134/1 at the halfway mark...

EDIT: 154/1 after 29 overs

My 2 crappiest bowlers...

8 overs 31 runs
4 overs 16 runs

they are the reason I was able to slow down the other team... go figure... I predict a score around 275 and a deluge of wickets in the last 8 overs.

recovered to 136-2 after 34 overs, with a RR of 4.00. 200 would be fantastic seeing as how i started!!

i won't be able to check the score for about two hours. this is going to kill me.

Rest easy, my batters couldn't hit water if they fell outta the boat.

Won 236-233. Lost one wicket and had a guy for a century.

And my fitness level is now "lively"
