... you only field 9 players? If not, would a 4-1-3 (with no IMs and a wing as extra forward) get trained?

I wouldn't see why not, you are playing a legal lineup with no more then 3 players in one position. You'll have experience problems though. But training I think you'll get.

What Kuhnscoot said. Training you'll get.

The question is why would you run it?

probably injuries cause people to field a team with less players. this last league game, i had 3 injuries in my last league game and i don't want anyone to play twice. reserve or not, i don't care. i got my coach playing tonight and a winger in the midfield. i would've left a couple spots off.

i got a question too though: if you start out with the minimum number of players and then someone gets red carded or injured and you have no subs, do you forfeit the match?

Good question, I don't remember that ever coming up.

I say he try it and find out.....

Just so all of us can learn from him :)

And I would guess it would be a walkover and therefore a loss.

But you would still play part of the game so you just forfeit in the middle?

I have no idea. Why don't you give it a shot and find out? :D

Have no internet at work ATM. I'll ask George later.
