The road into Lot 8 is just one big never ending pothole. I thought DCSEC was going to repave it? Just wanted to vent a little and I'm surprised with baseball now in town why it hasn't been taken card of. I guess that's why so many of them take metro to the games.

So far baseball has brought not much better, more expensive food, and
hired out of work mercenary wannabe security and parking staff.
They are just being consistant, leaving the stadium roadways as crappy as they are.
Damned glad I have all wheel drive and 12 in ground clearence on my car.

It's in better shape than my driveway, I never thought it was all that bad, certainly not worth spending money that would be better used designing a parking garage for The House of Payne at Poplar Point :D

Hell, it's in better shape than 395 used to be a few years back.

After the DC Air National Guard shot up that school up in New Jersey, they need to practice somewhere......

Would someone get mad at us if we just rolled in with a pickup truck full of gravel and started filling in holes?

This is a good example of a relatively small cost improvement that would make the game day experience much better for both Baseball and Soccer fans.

Fill a few potholes, but even more importantly, paint some lines to create two lanes going in and out, and make more clear how to split/merge at the lots and freeway entrance/exit.

Things could move much better if they spent a little time and effort and not much money on the parking lots, especially lot 8.

You want something to improve the experience for baseball and soccer? Fire all the lot attendants that aren't taking money at the entrance.

Lot 8's alot like that really old pair of jeans with the hole in the knees. Looks terrible, but WTF....it' comfortable. ;)

Coincidently, WTOP had a spot this morning where they talked about the pothole filled road to Lot 8, and RFK was looking at hiring a contractor to fill in the potholes.

And here I thought someone was going to say we couldn't use Lot 8 for tailgates anymore.

Fire all the lot attendants that aren't taking money at the entrance. But then who would warn us cops were coming at the tailgate, and who would watch the stuff we leave out during the game for just a beer or two? :)
you obviously underestimate the skill it takes to wave a flag and yell at passing cars :)

You realize, of course, that if they did any work on the I395 entrance to RFK, it would be done on a Saturday afternoon or Wednesday night during a game, right ;)

I think it'd be money wasted, but that's just me. I'd rather they spent it on bathrooms in lot 8 :) Also unlikely as hell to occur.
Maybe they'll pave in the off-season, you know when the road starts to freeze :)

Having just dumped millions of dollars to get the stadium ready for bore-ball, I kind of doubt the DCSEC is going to put too much more money into the place unless absolutely necessary.

I think it was the last game or maybe the one before it, but there were 2 port-a-potties about 50 feet from where I parked in Lot 8. Very clean and a godsend at the time.
