Freddy is down to Mathis right now 43% - 40%. Remember, RsL has the "best fans in MLS" so don't discount their voting power.

Okay, I voted. But I am nothing if not a homer. Only the goal by Sutton for Columbus was less impressive than Freddy's. That Mathis goal was a bomb, and the one from Colorado was much more difficult. And yes, it was a deflection that got Freddy his goal.

it was the Joe Horn celebration without the a-hole-ness.

Well, he did take off his shoe. If it's a card for taking off the jersey, it should have been a card for the shoe as well...
Thx,
Jay!

I'm sure. There was a deflection.

If there was a deflection, Freddy meant to do it. He's that good. ;)

NKong's first goal was more impressive. He bent his shot around Big Zach (but not kebzach).

Then he's got to start calling the bank shots. Maybe even point to the corner that he's picking out. Maybe he needs to start a Babe Ruth type legend. :p

but it was a good thing it wasn't since he already had one for a retaliation foul

Been There - Done That
Clint's goal was very impressive - from 40 yds out - but it wasn't the dramatic game-winner that Freddy's was

It was an obvious deflection, more easily seen watching it at real speed.

Yeah- for a 40 yard goal, it was remarkably mundane. Just bad defense.

Gosh, I'm torn. I really like Mathis' goal. Anytime you score from that far out, it's special. So I voted for that.
But, upon further review, I really liked the effort by Adu just to get the shot off. Plus it was a stoppage-time winner. Who cares if it was deflected (which it obviously was). So I voted for Adu.
Maybe I'll go back and vote for Freddy again.

yeah it was deflected, but it didn't change the trajectory of the ball much. Just sent it right into the corner

Vote - Freddy up to 43%
Mathis' goal was okay, sure it was far out, but I don't know what FCD what doing that game. If that wall holds, there's no way the ball goes through. I think FCD forgot how to play Defense that game.
