Anyone in here know if they can track down a video of that BADASS goal and give us a link? I definitely want that goal permanently on my laptop.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Check www.dcunited.com in a day or two, should be in the multimedia.
Might also make a choice in the Sierra Mist Goal of The Week, on mlsnet.com

MLSnet will probably have highlights of it later. MLS Wrap will also have it of course.

It will be on DCUnited.com and MLSnet.com as soon as we render the video. Should be, er, right about now (mms://a1503.v115042.c11504.g.vm.akamaistream.net/7/1503/11504/v0001/mlbmls.download.akamai.com/11504/2005/open/topplays/archive07/072305_dculag_adu2_goal_384.wmv).

You didn't?

They come on here every so often to hook us up with times for live chats with players, ticket sales, video links ( :D ) and a bunch of other cool stuff. I have yet to see any other sports league that has such a close interaction with their fans than MLS does. You don't see the NBA going onto message boards to relay info DIRECTLY to the fans, do you?

Good work all around.

The thing I was most impressed with on that game was not the first tackle he shed (which was sweet), but was the little stutter step/shot fake just before his real shot. It doesn't really show up on this video capture, but it was there, and created the goal.

but would it have gone in without the deflection?

Looking at the play, I hope they go back and credit Prideaux with an assist. It's currently listed as unassisted, but Prideaux won a 50/50 ball at midfield and headed the ball to Freddy.

It would've been on goal, without question...but I think Hartman may have been able to save it.

I kinda agree, Semp. That was a real cracker of a shot, it may well have been a damned hot tater to handle even with one full hand on it.
More importantly, I think Hartman didnt have a full look at what was comin til it was 1/2 way there. On the replay on that clip, there is a defender screening Freddy somewhat.

Adu, Nowak and Rob Stone make this a highlight clip!

I have to show all the kids I coach this clip, this will really get them all pumped up!

That brought tears to my eyes - I was so distracted running through the house scaring the kids and the cats when Freddy scored that I missed PN's celebration - that guy REALLY cares!
