Incredible. 100% pure-upper corner-game over
THAT is what soccer is about. THAT is what great players do.
UNREAL-it was worth watching the entire game to see Freddy do that
Way to go to the team, way to go to Freddy. What can you say.

Now that was a performance worthy of the hype. Well done Adu keep them coming.

Awesome goal by Freddy! Great game by our midfield and forwards who held possession most of the game. Kovalenko especially stood out in my mind today.
This is the kind of result that can put a spark in the team to make a great run.
Way to go boys!!!

Happy with result; pretty disappointed that PN didn't use more of his subs earlier. Jamil was the only sub until after FA scored.
I would have liked to see Guppy on for Dema at 80 min, maybe Kuykendall on for Prid at 70 min.

110 degree temps, on the road, 3rd game in 8 days. I would have happily taken a point from this match.
That was much, much better :D The kind of win that can kick-start a season.

Anyone else wish Keanu Reeves would aim a submachine gun at "Agent Sampson"?

I only saw about half of this match today. And what I saw was totally forgettable. But hopefully, when captain Jaime Moreno lifts the MLS cup in Dallas in November, we'll look back on this and say "turning point". Ugly match...but I don't care. We needed that.

That went from one of the most boring games i've seen as a neutral, to a very very happy moment.

Rimando was real shaky today. However, on the majority of times when he came out with too much aggression, he still had the plays covered. For instance, there were a few times when fouls were called against the Galaxy that he still made saves, and the botched offside trap he also was right there.
Still, it's definitely not the performance we'd like to see day in and day out in the net.
In the end though, he got the shutout and now leads MLS in that category.

Well, that ought to shut Whine'alda up!!!
Great goal by Freddy and I thought Dema had a great day.

That was a boring match, but in that heat how could anyone expect anything fast-paced?
At first I thought the Walker sub was a waste, but he really turned the game around. His fresh legs really forced LA's defense to get stretched too thin.

Well, at least the last three minutes were exciting. Pretty listless game on both sides, and that goal was bound to happen for one team. Lucky for us, Adu was the one who scored it on a great individual effort.
Not really much to take away from this game, except for the fact that we withstood some fierce heat and held our own in the midfield and the defense (for the most part). However, Rimando was a big blemish on the field, as he kept coming out too early and was caught off his line on more than a handful of occasions. A better team finishes against him, and we lose on a floundered cross.
Oh well, we now have a few weeks rest for the league games. Let some of the regulars have Thursday off (Rimando, Moreno, Gomez) and let some of the benchers and GC returnees play.

As if seeing jamil walker run thru our middle wasnt enough to sub out marshall.
but 5 minutes later, adu does the very same thing. and even though Freddy bolted passed ihemelu, watching marshall backing up as to not get run by was all the time freedy needed to line up another killer shot to the upper corner.
good win DC. - and good luck and heres hoping you put one on Chelsea this thursday, I can only hope someone shows some euro's something.

I completely agree. Two 100+ degree games in 4 days, and up until the goal he had used a grand total of 2 subs. And through both games it was a total of 3 subs when you include Kuyendall's trash minutes at the end.
It would have been advantageous to put in Guppy for either Gros or Dema when Albright decided to stop running in the 70th minute.
Though the sub pattern (and idiotic commentary) is about the only thing I can complain about from this match. Solid effort from everybody on the field wearing a black jersey (blue and gold....that's a different story).

That game is the reason people love sports.
Sometimes you have a game that is end to end in the beginning and then tapers off. Occassionally, you get a match like DC/NE last year in the playoffs that is pretty classic throughout.
Finally, there are those games like today which are so ridiculously boring to watch and then are finished off so sublimly.
Well done, kid.
Four points from two road games? Seven points over three games since last Friday? I'll take it.
