View Full Version : Screaming Eagles Van to Richmond Aug 3
I've tentatively put together a 12 passenger van trip together (10 spaces are available). Trip would include ride from N.VA (pick up at Pentagon City Mall and Springfield Mall if needed) to Richmond (with a stop a Banditos Burritos in Richmond for dinner before game, http://www.banditosburritolounge.com). First pick up would be at 3:00 pm. Please reply to kim@screaming-eagles.com if you are interested, DEADLINE July 27. (I'll confirm your space and tell you when/how to send payment).
Cost (includes van rental, gas and game ticket)
$32 members
$36 non members
Tickets only $14 (**for pick up at Banditos from 5 pm-6 pm). Send an email to kim@screaming-eagles.com (I'll confirm then send I'll tell you how/when to send payment).
If you need to go directly to the stadium then order your ticket from the Richmond Kickers (but do early enough so can be mailed to you, the Will Call lines are a disaster down there for these big games) All tickets are general admission, just look for SE banners to find us. http://www.richmondkickers.com

Just wanted to say it will be good to have you guys at the game on the 3rd
lets get the RFK rock going! (maybe scratch that -- UR Stadium isnt that sturdy lol)

Love those 360 degree views of Banditos Burritos, not that I was expecting a dive or anything (well, actually I was). This place looks great! If the food and drink match the quality of the website, I am sure we will provide plenty of ambience.

Folks, if you haven't been on a van trip like this, do yourselves a favor and go.
Take a half-day off. Your work will be waiting for you when you return.
I have a meeting that goes until the early afternoon, but I'll be hopping in my truck and flying down.
For the very first Screaming Eagles trip I took a 7-passenger minivan to Giants stadium for the first road game against the Metros.
TONS of fun. We had a lot of people in the Swamp parking lot ask us (incredulously) "You drove up here for THIS?" Little did they know that we'd invade their home turf every time for the next decade. (And counting)
While the bus trips and plane trips are fun too, there's a certain cameraderie that develops from being part of a small number making a trip to support our boys.
Plus, this is a revenge match, no? Let's go down there and see how Dema deals with minnows.
HA, the first roadtrip I ever took with the SEs was a van trip to NE in 1998 (that almost didn't happen!) And Matt, that's when I started plotting the hostile takeover! ;)

Will Brian R. be coming along with his battery-powered blender making foo-foo drinks? Those are always good on van roadtrips :) Batteries last clear to Columbus if I recall :)

oh man, remember a while ago at the opener thing with the kickers down here in richmond. so much bad news happend at that game.
most notably when everyone decided to move to the section right next to the kickers fan club
it was fun though.
