Hey GP, did you get tix for the Gold Cup? I can't go, my sister is having a party on Sunday to celebrate her wedding with the folks who couldn't go to Maui.
Not yet....thanks for letting me know. I may still go though. Doesn't look like my friend wants to go to TFC tonight. Are you going out for drinks before/after?

Definitely getting drinks before, around 9, any recommendations somewhere relatively close to the Bowery Ballroom?

the Lower East Side is full of good bars within 2-3 blocks of the BB...do you want something on the same block or do you mind walking 3-5 blocks? to be continued...

I don't mind a little walk, i haven't been down to the lower east side in a while and don't know it very well (i went to Arlene's Grocery(?) like 2 years ago). My cousin mentioned finding a place to sit and have a few drinks before the show, so maybe someplace a little quieter rather than somewhere that will be totally packed. Definitely let me know if you happen to be down in that area, i'll buy a few drinks.

I really like slainte on bowery at 1st street - about 2 or 3 blocks north of bowery ballroom. it's a cool irish soccer pub....

Cool, i'm planning on driving in around 8-8:30, i'll text you when i'm on the way over and see if you want to meet up. Both of those places sound cool, and my cousin spend alot of time in the city so i'll see what he's thinking of. Thanks for the recommendations.

Holy cow that is a full house! We are on the pet non-replacement plan. Dog is gone, but still have the cat. I got rid of the fish but more were brought in while I was out of town.
I am going to have to use a Southwest ticket this year to come up to NY!! Sounds like there is way too much fun to be had. I also want to go to Chicago and maybe even over to Atlanta (but not in the summer!:eek:).
