Everton's next match is Newcastle on Wednesday at 7:45pm in the Worthington cup. This will be Evertons third away match in a row. Can the lads keep up there new away form? Will Newcastle take this Match too litely as it is only the worthless cup? Everton will take this cup more seriously than they have in the past. Knowing every match is vital to Evertons Financial future.
My early prediction 2-0 for Everton

We never do well in the League Cup.
Doesn't really bother me, I hope we just concentrate on the Premiership and maybe the FA Cup.

As I thought Newcastle will be resting a few of there players and Shearer will be one of them.

Does the winner of the Worthington Cup get a berth in the UEFA Cup?

Yeah, if you win the Worthington Cup, you get into the UEFA Cup. But I don't know what round your entered into.
If you didn't, then the Worthington Cup would be scrapped.

Winning the Worthington Cup gets you into the UEFA Cup first round, same as winning the FA Cup and finishing fifth or sixth.
Blackburn opened against CSKA Sofia in the first round before getting drawn with Celtic.

Linderoth suffered a hamstring injury and has been replaced by Steve Watson. Shame, coz he was playing excellent.

<<<<<<<<<FINAL SCORE>>>>>>>>>>>
Everton win on pens,
Newcastle 3-3 Everton
(3-2) on pens, I was getting worried when Unsworth missed the first one, but Richard Wright saved one and Kopra shot one over the bar.
Can't believe, I'm glad we won now while it went to Extra time. That will give us confidence.

Thanks for the update Captain. Now that makes three wins on the road. We thought we might not win three all season on the road. Not too mention good teams as Leeds(who might not have it together right now) but none the less a good team, Newcastle, amd Westham. On to the next round We deserve it!
