ganu said PSG were an awesome side but then all the good players left to go to England and then the team fell apart. The same thing is happening at Lyon now. Essien is almost out(Chelsea). Govou is almost out(possibly Liverpool) and Wenger is looking at Diarra to replace Vieria. It looks like the same thing is gonna happen at Lyon that happened to PSG when they were a dominate side. All the good players leave to go to England.

Yes, but cass also said that Biétry dismantled the scouting system and ruined the youth setup.
If Lyon keep the system they have now - they won't exactly slide into no-man's land. Unless Aulas, goes nuts.
Jesus Gil nuts.
The only problem I can forsee is trying to replace those players at such short notice with those of a similar ilk if not better. But with a guy like Houllier in charge and his exploitation of buying crap players - this will not fill most L'OL fans with much hope.
I think they won't be as strong as last year - but they will be contenders. No doubt. The rets of Ligue 1 is still trying to catch-up.

Discussion betw OL and Chelsea is still ongoin, so we'll see about Essien.. Even if the transfer is likely, he won't go cheap. Lyon is the kind of club that keeps their best players..
About Govou, I think the departure will not affect us much. Wiltord can replace him well. Now that Carew is in, Wiltord has to play wide anyway..

hopefully pedretti will be able to integrate himself into the team quickly. he seemed to lack a bit of confidence against Le Mans but he did have a few nice balls.
