I can't believe everyone seems to be writing off Arsenal for the Premiership. Even bookmakers like Paradisebet.com seem to be offering 3 - 1 for Arsenal to win the title. It seems like a joke. Am I the only person who thinks Arsenal will win the Premiership?

I am a gooner, but unfortuately, I think it will be very diificult this year. I don't think the loss of Vieira wll be that big. We were hurt more last year by losing Gilberto. We'll need to fill that spot and hope Gilberto is healthy this year. F chel$ea. I think it is funny how Manure has already been written off.

Arsenal (even without Vieira) have got a good chance of winning the PL. It's hard to see how it'll go until a few games in, but I'd say Arsenal are up there with Chelsea, with Manu just over our shoulders. The bookies are slashing the odds on CFC because people are sticking bets on them...

But the bookies are not always right, as Manu fans will know, so 3-1 is probably a good bet. If it gets any longer I'll be sticking my 10p on. ;)

Chelsea will be the strongest team next year, as they were last year. I reckon it'll be alot closer, especially if Man U can actually put the ball in the net this time around.

Arsenal will finish 3rd

I agre with facelessfreak. Arsenal will finish up 3rd or lower. Their march to their first CL title will definately hurt their domestic form.

they'll probably be eliminated in the group stages following 6 draws, with the opposition coming from behind in every game.

Chelsea, manu and Arsenal will all finish in the top 3, that's pretty much a certainty...

Liverpool will push them this year though, they've got a solid team. Just need to be more consistant

They'll push, and they'll be closer, but 4th is still the best for them this season...

I suspect Arsenal will keep pace in the title race most of the season. At the end of the day though their squad is a bit thin and its not too hard to imagine them just losing momentum at times, particularly if they get injuries. They do have quite a bit of money to spend before the new season kicks off, but it is finding the players.
SWP has gone to Chelsea, the Basptista deal seems to be off. I think Chelsea and United have better squads so they are maybe marginally favourites.

I'll be interested to see how Henry does as the Captain and how it effects them having him as the undisputed focal point of the team.
He doesn't really strike me as a Captain. I reckon he'll start the season really strongly having been given the armband, but will get frustrated and fade later on.

He's the sort of guy who has periods in games where he likes to sulk, and gets annoyed when he people don't pass to him or he feels they aren't pulling their weight and all the pressure is on him to perform. It's a look he wears a lot in European matches. Well the pressure is twice as much on him now Vieira has gone.

Liverpool are no way near the top 3, and anybody who thinks they will crack it is either having a laugh or just ignorant. They've spent 90% of the last 2 seasons 20 points off the top 3, battling it out with Newcastle and Everton just for Champions League football.

Bolo Zenden and some Chilean International aren't going to close the gap. Zenden, Kewell and Garcia vs Duff/Pires/Ronaldo/Robben/Giggs/Reyes...Nah.

^^ To illustrate my point they are now signing Peter Crouch. Watch out Rooney, Henry & Crespo!

With odds as good as 3 - 1, its definitely worth sticking a tenner on with paradisebet.com.

I can't see anyone beating Chelsea in the league.

i predict that wigan will beat chelsea 2-0 at the JJB, and that will be the only 3 points they get all season.

anyone want to bet on that at 3-1? i'm happy to lay the odds.

"Financially Doped versus Financially Doped", as Wenger would say.
Well I ment for the league title. They will probably lose once to Arsenal too.
