How do you feel your team as it currently stands is equipped to deal with the new season?
My team (Man City) are not looking so good. We've just sold the closest thing to a living God since Colin Bell or Gio Kinkladze and have brought Andy Cole in  (I dont like Cole obviously). I just hope Stuart Pearce brings in a better striker with the rest of the SWP money that we will be given - maybe Kanoute or Defoe from Spurs.
Our two friendlies that we've played so far, Tranmere and Macclesfield away didnt show much in the way of form, but they're only used to bleed the kids anyway. City are currently in Thailand for a quick tour before playing Stoke City and Sheffield Wednesday when we get back - hopefully we will have some new faces in these games.
My wallet has already been preparing for the new season. I couldn't make Thailand so will make do with all the friendlies and my two week holiday off work concides nicely with Birmingham and Sunderland away (although I will miss Portsmouth at home - which will be my first league game missed since 1998)
But overall my confidence levels are not too high after the events of the past weekend - but that will change if we manage to beat West Brom first game of the season.

Having been a Chelsea fan for over ten years now, I am happier than a pig in...well you know. I really think we should take the quad this year. That would be something.
I, being a yank, also follow any team that has a fellow countryman on it (Except for ManUre, of course). I have really enjoyed getting behind Fulham and Man City these past few years. I think you will find things better than you expect at the Blue Camp. I rate Pearce, but more than anything I think that Keegan was a horrible manager his last few in charge. I think Stuart will prove this with the way his team shows on the pitch. Sure SWP is a great player, but you guys did super for long steaches last year without him in the line up. I think that after the rust is off, you guys could finish top five.
Plus, look at the line up I would field (beacause I am qualified..lol):
------Cole------Fowler
BWP---Reyna--Sibierski--Kiki
Distin--Dunne--Mills---Jihai
--------James
That is a pretty solid lineup and there are some strong players that can fill holes too.

I'm really looking forward to the coming season. This is only my second season following the premiership and the mighty Arsenal (no I'm not a glory seeking idiot, I have a friend of the faimly that brought me into the wonderful world of premiership footbal and being a gooner and he's been a supporter since he was a kid growing up in India). I'm thinking Arsenal will regain their League Title this year (sorry Chelski fans). It will be very exciting to see how much more the "Young Guns" will improve.

We've signed a lot of young talent to go with some experiance, Jol has done well since he took over, he wins about 50% of his games since he did take over, we are playing some attacking football
Routledge, Huddlestone, Lennon are all great signs and Mido has been good in pre season along witht the 3 i just mentioned, a Mido & Defoe/Keane looks good and with a new midfield
---------------------------Robinson---------------------------------
-----Stalteri/Kelly------King------Naybet/Dawson/Huddlestone------Edman
-----Routledge------Carrick------Mendes/Tiano/Huddlestone-------Reid
-----------------------Defoe------Mido--------------------------
:)
expections are high but i don't want to get to optimitic to ruin my teams chances...i'm supersticious :D :(

Blackburn will lead the league in all disciplinary categories. We've got Sav, Todd and Bellamy now. All we need to add is Bowyer and Barton and we'll be a lock.

Hey, if you want Lee Bowyer, I'm sure a deal can be arranged.

You need your head checked mate, Citeh couldn't afford Defoe, not even close. You lot are not getting the whole 21mil to spend due to the massive debt from the Keegan days. Kanoute or Keane would be a better choice ;)
I think it is looking positive at Tottenham Hotspur, and my optimism is better than it has been for at least 10 years when King Jurgen came. Spurs actually have pace on the wings, Routeledge looks alot better than I thought, Teemu Tainio looks like a shrewd buy and could be the answer to our CM problems.
We are solid in most areas, except I would like to see an out and out attacking MF to come in, and cover for LB. If Kanoute or Keane were to leave to say to Citeh another Striker would be needed. I think Tottenham need to offload a couple of MF's, Sean Davis and Michael Brown probably will go before the window shuts.
I think top 6 for Spurs!!COYS!!!
