In this months tf they had a piece on the finances of newcastle, some of the facts and figures are truely shocking..i have said some of this in another thread but i think it should be repeated.
Shephard is always going on about how much he loves the club and how of his money he invests in the club...has, in his entire time as chairman, has invested any of his money in the club, he has bought shares in the club yes, but and this is a very big but, the more shares he buys the more money he takes out of the club.
For the dividends recieved by Freddy Shephard and Dougie Hall it needs 9000 season tickets to pay for them. Last season NUFC lost £36.9 million...the dividends payed out to shareholders...mainly Shephard and Hall..cost the club £29 million.
This does not make sense..Reading this has just made me hate shephard even more.

Is that even legal??
Shepard is the main thing holding this club back from greater success

I don't see why it would be illegal. The board can decide to offer dividends. Unless they are bankrupt, paying out dividends to shareholders is fine.

My problem isn't whether or not it is illegal, my problem is that Hall and Shephard own around 75-80% of the club and so they decide on the dividends that should be paid...TOO THEM. Shephard is forever going on about he is 110% behind the club when infact he is taking money out of the club. They also get paid around 500,000 pounds a year as salaries. I don't know about you but i'd be more than happy to get paid that and run my own football club. It's all dirty and nasty..all he and Hall care about is money they don't care about the club because they know us dumb fans will still turn up.
SHEPHARD OUT!!

Shepard is a disaster. He's busy filling his pockets while he drives the club into the ground. The club has been absolutly clueless in the transfer market the past 2 years. We should have been grooming a replacement for Shearer 2 years ago. WTF is going on!!

Newcastle United's alarming slide down the Premiership and growing supporter apathy has left chairman Freddie Shepherd facing up to the possibility that the club will fail to sell their full allocation of season tickets for the first time in more than a decade.
For the first time since the Kevin Keegan revolution and the start of the 1992-3 season, Newcastle face the prospect of playing their Premiership home games in front of empty seats.
As a result, the club began a hastily-arranged television advertising campaign yesterday, in an attempt to sell the unsold tickets before the start of the season, which begins, away, at Arsenal on August 14.
