Hey, I'm looking for advice. For the last five days I had to endure a pretty bad pain on the outside of only my left foot. It feels like there's some sort of a big bruise that really hurts (actually there is no bruise, obviously) + like a lot of pressure; it's very bad especially in the moment when I turn my body to kick the ball. When I just run this is a much less pain, but still. I tried icing, but it doesn't seem to work at all. Any tips?

Sounds like it could be a stress fracture. Particularly with the pain becoming more intense as you torque the foot.

Those are painful and hard to heal. I would suggest consulting first your team's athletic trainer or coach, and then (or if they're not available) a physician who specializes in sports medicine. (I'm not familiar if they have those in Canada... ;))

The prescription will likely be a period of complete inactivity so that the bone can heal.

OK, I went to a doctor today and they did X-rays of my foot. Though no fracture was found and there's no swelling, it still means that there's might be a little problem with a bone. They recommended to rest it for 4-5 days and see how it feels.
