Halftime 0-0.

Mexico is very lucky they are not down by a couple of goals. The first offsides call was a bad call, should have been a goal. Then Salcido (Mexican defender) comes close to scoring twice for Colombia. And then that last shot at the end, had the keeper totally out of the goal, and the shot is blocked by the defender.

I thought the second offsides call was correct, it's not if any part of the body is still "onsides", it is the center of the body of the forward that must be behind the center of the body of the defender.

yep, second OS call was correct.... Funny Univision won't show the first erroneous OS call..And Ramirez only dares say that "he had doubts about it" If he does so much, why not bother to show the replay that proves this was the case.... UNless i need glasses, there is no doubt a legitimate goal was scored by Colombia... and there was an angle to prove it.... shown while the game was in progress....

And Ramirez goes on to say how Colombia were incapable of scoring....All i gotta say is bless our refs... they truly blow....

That 1st goal was legit, I hope this Sibrian is not typical of Concacaf refs, such incompetence.
And what about that yellow card to Tressor? the mexican player commits the foul and the yellow card goes to the colombian.

How Sibrian still gets reffing assignments is beyond me. I have never seen him come close to being even competant. He's a horror.
I think he is the best ref in CONCACAF.He is good and has bells.

Lavolpe must have bitched his players out pretty good at half. different mexican team out there the first 5 minutes. Shame for colombia that they couldnt capitalize in the first half.

I'll never forget how big of a deal it was when we beat Columbia in the '94 world cup. (Escobar - own goal, got killed when they returned.) I realize this isn't Columbia's best team, but, it all seems so different now... I really think the USA can beat whoever wins this game. Doesn't seem like as big of a deal now, know what I mean?

When Peter Pendengrast is among the other options; I'm not sure that you can make a case against what he said.

There is no doubt the quality of officiating in CONCACAF is poor; but to blame a center ref for a linesman's judgement is a bit harsh no?
