From a ground level replay, it appeared that Fuller sneaked up on Vanney from behind, may have gven him a little shove, Vanney went down to the turf while looking at the ref, Fuller picked up the ball and hit it over the crouching Kasey's shoulder.

the camera wasn't smart enough to catch that situation, so .... Vaney seems to be not good enough for our left back.

Reminds me of a certain David Regis blunder in February '02 against Italy. I think in Sicily? Anyone? Anyone? I hope Arena doesn't waste a roster spot on Vanney then flies to Germany only to realize as he did with Regis that Vanney isn't the answer there...

Looked to me like Vanney got his feet tangled on a backpedaling turn trying to stay with the attacker and went down. Hard to tell, though. Not much of a replay on that goal. I didn't think it was like the Regis/Italy debacle because that was a foul not called by the ref. Not exactly Regis' fault.
