3-1 USA.
Cherundolo with what appears to be a sprained knee - some worried it might be serious.
Ben Olsen out with a red card.

too bad keller didn't get the clean sheet, but 3-1, can't complain. DMB, LD, JOB and late sub Armas looked good. Ralston failing to finish a couple times yet again, another conor casey? vanney looked his best so far, one bad mistake

thought i saw Dolo standing and applauding one of the US goals from the sidelines ... smiling. suppose it doesn't mean much but it was good to see ... certainly hoping it isn't serious.

Should've had a few more, but the game was well in place at the end. DMB got better in the second half, but I thought his first half was poor.

I would rather have lost this match than see Dolo tear his ACL. Let's all pray for the best for him but, sadly, I am not optimistic.
Aside from that, anyone still suggesting DFB should move the left back???

While watching Ralston's near misses, I kept thinking "I bet Quaranta would've gotten that" .Bruce finally makes the switch in the last five minutes and what does Quaranta do? Skies a completely unmarked sitter into row z after being set up on a platter by DMB.
Shows what I know.

This was a good match with a B+ to an A- squad. I was very happy to see them perform very well. Ben Olsen's Red I thought could have been a Yellow, but he still went for the man instead of the ball.
Wolff toe pokes the ball into the net, DMB gets two and ties LD with the team lead. I am happy and it's on to the Swamp for the Semis against Honduras.

LD totally jobbed his PK. I know he's had them blocked before but has he ever completely missed one? That was odd.

Chris Armas-Offensive sub?
After Taylor got sent for what can only be described as a ridiculous challenge on DMB, that game started looking like a pickup game. No midfield, everyone either at one end of the field or another shooting at the keeper.
Domination. Start to finish. 'bout time we showed up.

Please, don't jinx it... :(
Anyone have a video of the foul??

I'm absolutely surprised nobody has commented on Gooch's defending yet. I thought he looked horrible at times. He let several guys get past him without giving up much fight.

once again..our finishing is horrible..should have been 6-1
ralson had a sitter - no excuse for missing, quaranta had a sitter no excuse for missing and donovan booted a damn PK...come on donovan there are 10 year olds that dont miss the goal on a PK..rediculous
vanney in the back scares the crap out of me.
Gooch is the man.
other than that way better game than the last three. I think we'll be more in sync for honduras.

I have to admit, watching Jamaica against Mexico, I was concerned about their team speed. I think, with the exception of Olsen's red and another time or two, we did a nice job of neutralizing it over the course of the 90 minutes.
I thought Mastro and JOB did an incredibly good job, and I think LD and DMB improved over the match.
I will even give credit to Armas, for he played well during the short time he was out there (bear in mind his assist was still a backpass ;)).
Losing Dolo was a major bummer. I hope he recovers in time for the next match--not just for the team's sake, but also because the Telefutura announcer obviously misses his presence.

that is some serious standing and watching going on. o'brien looks hilarious standing there as armas runs by. the US guy behind o'brien actually bends over and puts his hands on his knees.
i like how beasley cleverly uses the first touch to play it off the keeper and back to himself! that's mad skill.

That was no sitter. That shot is missed alot more often than it's made. Of course, it's not usually missed by 15 feet, but it *IS* usually missed.

I'd rather he misses the rest of the gold cup and recovers fully and not push the injury. We have much more important games coming up that I'd rather have him fully healthy for.
I was glad he was immediatly subbed and didn't try to play through it...

The defense got leaky in the second half, for sure, but I thought it was tight in the first. That was a ridiculous challenge on 'Dolo and should have been straight red.
Except for a couple of errant midfield passes I thought DMB was stellar. He really contributed on all three goals, and probably should have had one or two more assists. He slotted a nice through ball to JOB in the first half and had a good cross that Wolff didn't move to quickly enough early in the second, to mention a couple. I was hoping Arena would have him take the penalty to complete the hat trick, since he had the keeper's number. MOTM.

If there is any doubt about his health, he should naturally rest. I am not saying we pressure him into playing...

Jamaica showed up with some weak @ss **********. Played like a bunch of punks.
foul, foul, studs up foul, dive. Can't believe the foul on Cherundolo...hope there's a suspension for that. They were elbowing and kicking US players away from the ball. Referee had no control over the game and Jamaica new they had lost before they stepped on the field.
Maybe next time they'll grow a set and try to play soccer.
I usually like watching the Reggae boys play, but that was bush league.
