Anyone else get the feeling that transfer activity is fairly slow at the moment. There are teams like Newcastle and Arsenal that need to strenghten if they are to better last season and Everton need a few more players if they plan to get into the champs league group stage. Only Liverpool, Spurs and Portsmouth seem to be doing anything at the moment.

It always comes down to the last two weeks. I'm not worried yet.

arsenal have a good squad. I don't know about this Hleb guy can someone who knows him well tell me about his abilities, achievements etc. they need to work on the goal keeper area because the defence cannot play well not trusting the keeper (remember back in October(?) when Man U beat arsenal 2-0, Sol campbell clearing incoming balls despite lehmann being there).
Newcastle need a striker Anelka's not the best option. He's been to liverpool, gunners, city, madrid, ferbenanche(?) and twice PSG  . if he's 26 he must have spent 1 seaon on each club ever since being 20!!
Get Luis Fabiano from Sevilla or maybe Dean Ashton from Norwich
Everton are (I'm sad to say) Pathetic. They won't even get past the champions league qualifiers unless they streanthen up. buy a striker and a left back because naysmith ain't good enough. a good LB is Barry from Villa or maybe Bridge from Chelsea since they signed Horno. Hibbert has been Amazing as has Cahill Osman. Arteta can improve. Carsley shuld turn into a defensive midfielder otherwise buy one.

We have bought in Teemu Tainio, Wayne Routledge, Tom Huddlestone, Paul Stalteri, Aaron Lennon.
Out: Timothee Atouba, Simon Davies, Rohan Ricketts
In desperate need of an Attacking MF. Also see us picking up another striker, I would like to see Ashton. Pretty sure we will lose Keane and possibly Kanoute, and maybe Michael Brown and Sean Davis from our MF. If I could choose a realistic AM it would be Steed Malbranque, but I would love to see a Tomas Rosicky at the Lane.
