Watching the Golden Bear in the open. Three off the cut and just missed a birdie putt. 4 holes to go, come on Jack, show us some old magic.

God bless the legend that is Jack.

He's managed to save par on 15, he'll have to go birdie, birdie, birdie to make the cut. How epic would that be if Jack can birdie 18 at St. Andrews to make the cut. 18 one of the most historic holes in the game.

Come on Jack!

Brilliantly done, great moment as Jack crosses the bridge on 18. If only this were being done on Sunday.

It's too bad that most will have been at work and not able to see the 18th hole. Unfortunately I'm at home after catching strep from the Asian Massage Parlor on Wednesday evening.

This reminds me that I have yet to take my father to the Jack Museum in Columbus. A terrible shame.

Zak - just a tip from one who is older and wiser then you: I've had a cold on and off this entire summer. I'd like to give you the advice to watch out for yourself. It can get rough, man.

The toughest part is watching the Open and not being able to have a beer and a cig.

And that folks, is why I can't pick on Zachary anymore. I have about a 30 second walk to either.

Thank god the Open was on, I was miserable prior to that, it's been an emotional 18 hours, watched the original Brian's Song last night at dinner, then Great Escape prior to going to bed. Topped off by Jack making the long walk at St. Andrews. If the end of all three of those don't leave you teary eyed you're simply a robot.

"The Girl Next Door" hasn't been on HBO yet today?

The main thing that makes me teary-eyed over Brian's Song is contemplating the fact that people actually paid James Caan money to act. Watching STeve McQueen put that Indian into the barbed wire is pretty sad too, but those twee Brits who get machine-gunned by the Eisatzgruppen got what they deserved. And anyway, how does McQueen get that baseball to bounce like that? In any case, doesn't the cover wear out after six months of bouncing it off a concrete wall?

Big Jack is God.

Oh come on, the "I love Brian Piccolo" speech doesn't get you every time? Especially the part that goes "And tonight when you hit your knees to pray I want you to ask God to love him too." Fantastic stuff.

And when Colin dies when the plane crashes, that's pretty heavy stuff there.

Actually, that's Bud Ekins doing the jump, and the bike is a boxer. Where ya gonna get a n Indian in WWII Germany?
