Any thoughts on the game this weekend? Sigma will essentially be playing with their best team.

We lost one of our best players this year Kobylik and also our starting keeper Vaniak (who went to Greece).

Sigma should be able to give Dortmund a good run.

For more info on Sigma - go to www.sigmafotbal.cz

Any word on what type of team Dortmund will be playing with?

You can bet BVB will play with the best lineup available.......

At the BVB website, they exspect both teams to play like this:
http://bilder.sportsandbytes.de/bvb/andere_Mannschaften/Spielfeld_Sigma_1121351343.gif

Dortmund squad:
Weidenfeller - Degen, Wörns, Metzelder, Dede - Kruska - Rosicky, Kringe - Smolarek, Koller, Buckley.

substitute players: Gentenaar - Gambino, Brzenska, Odonkor, Jensen, Caliskan, Akgün.

injured: Kehl, Ricken

also on the website:
Interview with Rosicky, Weidenfeller and some other (http://www.bvb.de/?%E7%86%9C%2Ak%97%84%EC%5Eo%E6%8C%99)
He says, he respects Sigma, but we (Dortmund) must beat them,
if we want to reach the UEFA-cup.
Weidenfeller also says, Dortmund wants to reach the UEFA and they don´t want to be stoped on their way to the UEFA-cup.
The assistant coach gives some infos about Sigma: "they plays a 4-4-2 tactic and have a good defense".
And there´s an aditional info, that the match will be broadcasted
by German channel DSF.

Just what I thought. Besides Kruska playing in Kehl's position, that's the full BVB starting lineup.

As said BVB will line up what Bert van Marwijk has at hand. Kehl is still recovering from surgery, so Kruska starts.

According to kicker.de Sigma also lost Prekop to Trencin. Plus players like Radim Kucera, Tomas Glos and Roman Hubnik are injured. Can u confirm this info?

Btw, the match is live on DSF. Kick-off 4.10pm CET.

It`s great that dsf bought the rights for this game!
Living close to the german border, i can receive this channel.

Heja, heja, heja BVB!

to the game:

It will be a tough game, czech teams usually have a great technique and know how to controll the ball. The BVB has to watch out, they must prevent counterattacks but also play offensiv to score.

Neverless, I`m sure Dortmund will beat Sigma and reach the next round. My guess:

BVB-Sigma: 2:1
Sigma-BVB: 1:1

To my knowledge kicker.de is correct.

I won't bother putting the score in this thread because there is no [r], but the game is in the 45th minute.

I fully expect a tough game in Olomouc on the 23rd. This tie is far from over.

That's right. And I think you guys have the best chance to win right now.......

Hard task for Dortmund.
They played very unconcentrated, made many mistakes
and Olomouc could have won the match.
1-1 is no good result, but anything is possible,
they only have to win Czech republic. ;)

Anything is possible. Sigma isn't a high scoring team, so if you get one goal, don't be surprised if the game goes to Extratime. Sigma might only score one.

With that being said, they are well organized in the back.

This really looks like the same crappy Dortmund side that always loses these types of games. Expect a 1-1 tie and Sigma wins on PKs... it always happens.

I don't know what to expect. It could be anything from a clear loss to Dortmund blowing Sigma off the pitch.

I guess we'll just have to wait to see the attitude of the BVB who shows up on Saturday.

I think the only thing we have going for us is that Koller and Rosicky will probably want to put on a show for their countrymen.

I expect a low scoring game. A 1-0 win either way sounds about right.

Thanks for the link to the clips of the game. :)

I think Dortmund will score two goals. For some reason this BVB team seems to relax a lot more away from home.

I actually believe the young players on the BVB squad are intimidated by their own stadium.

I'm not basing this on what happened this past Saturday, rather the team's results over the past two seasons......
