OK, he was never really part of the club. But with so many acquisition rumors, a trial, (and a night of drinking), I feel that he's at least solid footnote to United's history.

Coach Gazza heads off to Portugal
Paul Gascoigne has accepted a coaching role with a minor league club in Portugal.
The former England international will assist at Algarve United, who play in the Faro district Division One.
Club president Corrado Correggi told the local press: 'Gascoigne has accepted our invitation.
'He wants to leave behind his own problems and teach our young players how to avoid getting involved in such problems.'
