However, if you're a Bush voter, or RickB, the Times is probably your better choice. They have good UK and World coverage with a clear conservative bent, but their sports coverage is lacking.
Too right!!! the Times is by fare the best read in the UK. :D

The Times and The Telegraph for me.
I used to check out the Times online, but then they started charging and i stopped reading. For online news, I like the Guardian (http://www.guardian.co.uk/0,6961,,00.html) and the Observer. BBC News (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/default.stm) is a favorite also.

Hey, I'm an old school Tory member.
Me and John Adams were tight back in the day... :D
I actually read "The Fiver" in The Guardian, but that's all I can stomach out of that liberal rag...

Hell, that's even better than the Times. :p
Yes, except that it's written in crayon.

Still better. C'mon yoss, you have to hold strong in a forum with two conservative moderators. ;)

I don't consider RickB's brand of conservatism quite the same as what passes for conservatism in this country.
But as far as mods go....I'll take ours...conservatives or not...over yours any day.

Too true, though I'm sure Rick and I would still disagree on many common issues.
And I'll stick by Clanblue any day.

Piss off. It's only a "power down" to those who feel left about because they don't understand nor take the time to understand...

Ehh, I don't care much for blanket apologists...be it based on politics or club loyalties.

Well things seem to be getting back to normal with our friends over the pond. The Page 3 girl is back in The Sun! :)

I don't read English papers often but when I do it's usually Graunidad, which is mandatory for a soft liberal pinko-commie* like me I guess. However I read the the football section everyday and if you haven't subscribed to the Fiver yet then it's your loss.

I'm guessing that Yoss and yourself see my brand of conservatism a little more liberal than the US by those comments? Any particular reason? Just wondering as some here think I am very right wing...... Plus to be fair, I do seem to agree with some "liberals" over quite a few things!!

What's up with the term "lefty moonbat"? I've read it quite a few times on BS but never have heard it spoken in my life, have i not been listening to enough Rush Limbaugh?

My point was only....and please correct me if I'm wrong....that the "conservatives" in the UK do not have quite the same social agenda as many (though not all) in the U.S.....ie., reproductive rights, civil rights, religion, etc.
*nods*
I agree with Yoss. I don't think there is the crossover between religious fundamentalists and conservatism that there is here.
