If Schalke truly needs less money to finance their whole season -- including the payroll of their players -- than Hertha, M'gladbach, Wolfsburg, Köln and Bremen -- and only about as much as Frankfurt -- then Assauer and Mueller have some claim to be the best managers in the league.

However, I'm rather sceptical if Focus is comparing the same things here. It's perhaps conceivable that Schalke's payroll of their team is about 39m Euros -- probably without any bonuses -- but I'm assuming that the figures of some of the other teams include more than just the payroll of their players.

Yea I've always wondered why Hertha's budget is so high in comparison to other teams. Hoeness is usually a cheap arse so the budget being that high is confusing to me.

The numbers are total bull**********, becuase they indicate different things.
At Hertha and Bremen it´s the complete budget,
while at Schalke it´s only the salaries for the players.
