1. I believe so yes.
2. Me, me, me! haha but I'm not sure he will be wearing number 9 Henrik Pederson wears that number, hopefully borghetti will be able to get it.

Perhaps I should have said number 58. That would have been more appropriate. I don't think anyone's got that, right?

Bolton played a lot of the Monday night contests last year (that's 3PM Eastern), so they actually were featured a fair bit on FSW. For some reason, they and Blackburn got an unusual share of those games, it seemed to me.

I'm confussed.. I can't find this as confirmed at any English sites at all..
I even saw reports that say it will not happen and that his team will not agree to the deal but that Bolton still has hopes of landing him.. Nothing at the BBC who alway list new signings and just something in "606" saying it's not true.. Only a couple of papers on the net say it and only one confirmed (China) that I could find while others say Bolton still hopeful of landing him..
I guess it will be cleared up soon..

Trust me folks, Borghetti will do well for Bolton if he goes there, he's a type of player Bolton like, he's good in the air and pretty decent on the ball and will get goals, Bolton came 6th last season and are playing in the Uefa cup so it will be a good move :)

You can learn more about Bolton and the stadium and fans and find links to Bolton sites and message boards, etc... by clicking on Bolton on this great page.. It's also fun to just look at all the grounds around England at this site in the lower divisions too:

http://www.footballgroundguide.co.uk/

site is in frames so I can't link directly to Bolton...

I hate to blow the young one's bubble, but this is unfortunate news for Mexican NT. I guarantee he is either going to get injured or not find his rhythm, and will not be in good shape for the World Cup. Bad ********ing news....we don't need our strikers to go to England..Jared will not learn anything there, or get anything positive out of it.

I never thought i would find a post where i would disagree with u 100%.

It seems as if it was only yesterday I was wading through the anti Borgetti posts.

What a difference a tournament makes.

I wish him well!

Hope he takes a good supply of Mexican food with him. He's rich enough to have supplies flown in every so often. :D

The fifa site is confirming:

Bold added by me...

Borgetti's two goals in the Guatemala game were his 34th and 35th and have him tied with Luis Hernandez and Carlos Hermosillo as Mexico's all-time leading scorer. The striker, who has just agreed a transfer to English side Bolton Wanderers from Pachuca, hardly seems concerned with such matters. "I don't think about the records," the region's top scorer in qualifying said. "I only talk about them because you guys (the media) are telling me I'm tied with those guys."

Borgetti will be awesome for no other reason than he is a great player so it doesn't matter where he plays. That melon of his will do a lot of damage in English football.

My espanol blows, but I heard him interviewed on spanish language TV last night and they were talking about Bolton and they asked him how much English he knew and his response I think was, "un poco" or something better get the English classes in ASAP Jared - and start searching the internet for good Mexican food in England, or get used to fish and chips.

Or he can pull a Fernando Valenzuela and just act like he can't speak English so the friggin reporters leave him alone. That might be his best bet.

Congrats to Borgetti! Whoever thinks the EPL won't be good for Jared is wrong, he's the perfect target striker for the EPL and I'm sure he'll score his share of goals.

He'll have some very skilled teammates in Diouf and Jay Jay Okacha, much better players than any he's had in the Mexican league. His main competition for playing time will be Kevin Davies, who is a good little scorer but somewhat of an "overachiever".

Here is legendary English goalscorer Gary Lineker giving an interview on the Borgetti to Bolton deal. Pretty good stuff...

Let's see English goalscoring legend and commentator/writer for the BBC, sounds like a good guy to have in your corner.

Good Luck Jared!

Congrats. I think he'll do fine over there. Question is, will he be first choice?

well this would be much better than going to arabia. even though bolton sucks he would be going to one of the top three leagues.

Bolton is a very good side. Their manager is one of the best in Europe. Yes they are not Chelsea or Liverpool but Bolton are regarded as one of the better sides in the Premiership and qualified for the UEFA Cup by finishing 6th..they were even in the running for the Champions League up until the last couple weeks of the season.

This is a big move for him and also a big move for asspiring mexican players playing abroad. Has a Mexican national player ever gone to England before?

That's not necessarily true.
