Great job with all the pictures everyone! The Galaxy Photo Thread has been up for only 1 month and we have nearly half as many posts as the Yanks Abroad Photo Thread which has been up for almost a year! No other MLS club has a dedication thread like ours nor one that even comes close in comparison! Big props to all of you for showing your love for this team.

Let's continue the growth of this album so that everyone from all corners of the Big Soccer World can learn everything about our club from it's beginnings to it's evolution. Now every kid, young adult or even some of those old guys out there who discover the Galaxy for the first time and realize this is the club they want to follow, can come to us and we'll have a grand story of images for them to learn from.


Remember guys, if we managed to grasp a hold of some young fans as far as Ireland, just think of where we'll be in 20 years.

I was the first of hopefully many, I have went down in folklore at school for wearing my Galaxy and USA jerseys during soccer practice, the guys thought it was hilarious.

I just couldn't imagine myself supporting any other MLS team, the thought makes me sick.

For those of you new to the Galaxy, this was our coach for many years. Adored by many and over the years became loathed by some and eventually fired as head coach when our team was in 1st place. I for one miss him in so many ways. Someday may he come back to us in some form.

Octavio embodied what Hamilton has promised, entertaining, attacking soccer. he just couldn't win the big one. We had the best team in the league in 1998, and got edged out by a single goal in a two-game playoff with Chicago in the semifinals IIRC. When the wheels fell off the next year, management pulled the trigger quickly (are you listening Dougie) and brought in Sigi from nearby UCLA.

BTW, Sigi was hired before Hamilton arrived. Tim Luce was GM at the time. The constant though was Leiweiki.

At this point Sigi is the only guy to produce results for this club, ever! I was there for the Open Cup final in Fullerton and the CCC at the Mausoleum, but had to miss the MLS Cup final at the big Razor.

My Hamilton reference was pointing to a time before Doogie when the FO made bold swift moves. I think the only person that has naked pictures of anybody is our current GM.

I know this doesn't have much to do with our Galaxy but it's fastly becoming one of the most memorable moments in our young league's history.
