August 20th, Reston Town Center Concerts....Legendary (at least to me) C'ville band, Baaba Seth, to reunite for 2 shows, one being on this date. They are great; african, reggae, latin, and jazz tones can all be heard. They were my favorite regional band in college...the saxophone player, Hope, has played with Deep Banana Blackout, James Brown, others...

I am venturing out of the big apple for this one for sure.

p.s.-James:

Breathe....breathe in the air... in the mail tomorrow fer ya....

Even though I like Oasis, one of my favorite Harpuas is from 12/29/96 when they totally rip into Chapagne Supernova.

Cream to Perform at MSG 2005-07-12 15:55:54
Cream will perform three shows at New York's Madison Square Garden on October 24, 25 and 26. While no official statement has been made, these performances are believed to be the band's first full stateside shows since disbanding in the late 1960s. As previously reported, Jack Bruce, Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker reunited in early May for a series of appearances at London's Royal Albert Hall. With the exception of a 1993 reunion at the band's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, those three shows marked the group's first performance since disbanding in 1968. Be sure to check back in the coming weeks for more information.

How awesome! on my b-day nonetheless....I really hope I can get tix...

But Coach... how do you really feel?

Apparently they are talking about a possible July 21 draft in Toronto... hopefully like the NBA, the NHL will rig the draft and let Toronto take Crosby first :)

Damn... I just realized that I wont be able to pass up on the 130 bucks for the NHL center ice package... ouch... not all good news then...
