Hey guys!
Bready-don't forget to watch the Tour live on the Jumbotron in Times Square today! Starts at 9! :)
Tour de France is probably one of the most boring non-events that I've ever witnessed. Sadly it comes back to sully my telly every summer.
Why is it that all the really boring "sports" are played during the summer? I mean, what the hell is satisfactory about watching golf, tennis, cricket or guys cycling through France?

I know it's late (blame the 12-hour time difference) but HELL YEAH! THE PENS ARE BACK! Sadly, I'll see none of it until I get back in December, and then, thanks to the move to Albany, I won't be able to go to a game, but still, it's the principal of the whole thing! :D

You back in Taiwan already? I hope you had a good time back in the States. Anyway i'm outta here, gonna go unwind at my favorite bar for a few hours.
Well, here are the highlights:
1. Helped the parents move to Albany.
2. Saw Kip Wells pitch lights out against the Phillies (CG, 0 ER, 5 H, 12 K) while sitting in the front row on top of the 21-foot wall in right.
3. Bought a box of liqueur-filled chocolates, only to have the dog pull them down off my bed and eat them (yes, he's fine, though on my shit list for all eternity.
4. Learned that my cat can say "Mama".
5. Hung out with many friends that I hadn't seen in ages.
6. Learned that Albany's strip clubs suck.
7. Ate enough beef (since American beef is banned here) to possibly get beef poisoning.
8. Spent a ton of money on everything from a Jason Bay bobblehead to UFC DVD's to the Myron Cope's autobiography (now former Steelers' color analyst with a rather...distinctive voice).
All in all, a good trip, though moving was hard. Happy to be back in the land of the 5 am weekends though. :D

Hence why I always wait until the player signs on the dotted line or confirms that he'll be back next season. That's why I haven't got my Hines Ward jersey yet, even though it was supposed to be a birthday gift last month.

BTW I thought you were being sarcastic about the Steel Magnolias thing until I heard my stepdad watching it in the next room. NO SHITE! Isn't that hilarious!!!
One of my best friends and I used to watch it over and over again, but we would always stop when it got close to Shelby dying and fast forward it to the end when the kid slaps Weesa...then repeat. LOL We are waaaaay to cynical for sappy!

On a related note, the girl i was hanging out with in SF made me watch "Fried Green Tomatoes" I knew it was a chick flick, but i didn't know about the lesbians and cannibalism... real heartwarming stuff. :rolleyes: :D
