Thanks for the news today.
It will be a sad day for MLS to relocate the EarthQuakes from San Jose. I know there's no local investors to buy the team, but still it is a bad idea to relocate instead of an expansion team coming a few years from now.

This was run on the sports front page in Sunday's paper. The attendance numbers were quite amazing considering I had no clue any of it was going on.

"Be you angels?"

"Nay! We are but men...ROCK!"

For those who want some more information on women attending Iranian soccer matches, read "How Soccer Explains The World (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0060731427/qid=1121112297/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/103-8522869-9684655?v=glance&s=books&n=507846)" by Franklin Foer. I breezed through it in two days at the beach last summer -- terrific read.

I read it as well. My reaction -- eh. It was full of interesting things. But absolutely zero in the way of explanations. I'd say that it illustrates the world and the growing intermingling of it. But does nothing at all in the way of explanation. Really, I think the book was the guy's idea of how to get paid to take trips to places he wanted to visit. I'm glad that I just borrowed the book and didn't pay for it.
