Yes, this guy is playing first team football for Bayern now. So who is he?
-20 years old
-Brought up from Bayern amateurs
-Born in München (only Bayern player besides Lahm)
-Defensive Midfielder
And...that's all I know.

people are saying he plays centrally, but i was under the impression he played more on the left side...
anybody in a position to confirm either way?

This says he's a defensive midfielder, but that he can also play other positions.

Schweinsteiger is also from Bayern. He only isn't from Munich.

Yea Ottl plays central and fulback roles for some reason along with defensive midfield.....that might mean that he can play on the flanks in midfield as well.....what a diverse player....this can only be good.
I am liking this young man!

I thought so. His German is often hard to understand, and I picked out some Bayrisch in some of his interviews on FCB Champions.

Being from Bayern is like being from a big state in the United States, there are several towns in each state just like in Bayern. So just because not everyone is from Munich doesn't mean that they get local talent. :D
Also thanks for the information on Ottl it is good to hear some information on the newer players. If possible do you think someone can look up some info and post it on Mauersberger, supposedly he might round out the squad for this term and be a defender. Vielen Dank :)
Stark wird immer prosperieren!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I meant "FC Bayern players from Munich" not "only players from Bavaria."

This was originally for Ottl but do we have anything on Mauersberger? Since more than likely he will make the team as well :D

Speaking of Ottl, I thought he was particularly bad on Saturday. Hopefully it was debut jitters.

Debuts at away games can be intimidating.

Especially in light of the Demichelis news. It is good Ottl got some game time in and on the road to boot. He may be needed sooner than he thinks.
Gorlitz, Lahm, Demichelis.... who else? (I am biting my tongue).

Demichelis torn ligaments in the ANKLE (not knee - thank goodness - as earlier reported on the board). Will be in a plaster cast and out for 4 weeks. He will miss the CLS opener. Sucks!
Mike Cameron had an injury to the head... pretty serious...I hadn't heard anything else.
