Hopefully it's Lester More, he could help out an MLS team.

What was the name of the one that defected a few years back and earned a contract with the Rapids??

I knew that was going to happen. Didn't some defect during the last gold cup too?

Delgado and Martinez both signed for the Rapids, and proceeded to suck.

Cuban players always defect when they play in the U.S.

You'd think that Fidel would get a hint right about now.

Ha. When I was watching the anthems during the Cuba game and they were going down the line of players I was trying to guess which of those guys would defect. Good for them. I spoke with a couple of people who came from Cuba recently and they told me what it was like.

Just a guess, but it probably won't be any of their better players who have been with the team for a while, cuz they could've done it already.

Really selfish if you ask me. Their families are now screwed.

Or saved - a lot of defectors are able to send money home that they simply would never make in Cuba.

One guy I know is supporting like 20 family members down there.

Well the stories I have heard of people who leave is that their families are treated like ******** by the government. Thats why most people try to come with their families and all.

And this is different from the way the government treats everybody in Cuba, how, exactly?

Of course people try to leave with their families. Who would want to leave anyone they love behind there?

Can't resist poking my nose in. Good for them because the were buggered when they where born. Nature of the bitch when born in some shite hole of a country. Thats the facts Jack, you is lucky to be born American.

If not now, then surely (don't call me Shirley) next time ;). Good call.

My own fault. I will always be surprised with current headlines.

Oh yeah.

I bet their families wanted them to live lives of suffering in Cuba, rather than tasting the sweet air of freedom.

Hopefully it's Lester More, he could help out an MLS team.No doubt. He's definitely better than Delgado and Martinez. He could play, and play regularly, for several MLS teams.

He'd sure be a nice Ching-esque fit with Donovan in LA.
