There has to be one of Bobby Convey to throw in there.

The ball sticking in the mudpile on the line was my fave.

Ibrahimovic's miss against Liverpool and Liedson's miss in the UEFA Cup Final this year were shockers.

Steve Nicol's miss at Mexico 86 in the Uruguay vs Scotland match from what I've heard seems to be another shocker.

I think that Morales header in added time of the Uruguay - Senegal 3:3 game during the 2002 WC is probably the worst misses in history (especially if you consider the context and implication of this miss).

Too bad I can't find a clip of it on the Internet (I do have it on a DVD).

The missed pentalies you guys are pointing are a dime a dozen. Unless they really screw it up like the one shown in the video where the guy hits it so weak the goalie has time to jump to the wrong side and come all the way back to save it.

These misses are truly unbelievable.

I was thinking the same thing, sometimes they arent as easy as they seem.

He only had one opportunity ... the first header was Tomasson's. But yeah, that's a good one, though it can be attributed to the fact that he was too close to Dudek and didn't have an open net at his disposal. Still, being Sheva, he should have put that one in. Ah well, all the better for Liverpool. :p

And thanks for linking to the comp, by the way, whoever started this thread.

I was there. It was pretty bad. Forlan had an open net and shot the ball on the side netting.
