ugh... not just once but twice they have the auto-goal (penalty kick). I wish they would get rid of the auto-goal. It really unbalances the game. Usuualy it's something where there is 0% chance there will ever be a scoring chance and just like that they hand the team a goal.

ok ? get rid of it ? its a PK not a auto goal , a auto goal is when ure a defender or someone on ure team gets hit with the ball and then it goes in on ure goal , ( goal for the other team that phycialy touched you bef entering )

Cuba really deserves a better situation for their play than 0 pts and a -5 goal differential.

auto-goal is an abbreviation for automatic goal
it and the way the red card works need to be changed. They are the easiest way to turn a great game into crap.

auto-goal is an abbreviation for automatic goal
that's true but an auto-goal is one thng and a PK is another thing

i've always heard a goal on your own team is a own-goal.
I say auto-goal cause it's easier to say that automatic goal.

Hello fello ticos, I'm really happy with the result. I thought the first half of the game was a continuance of the awful game against Canada. I'll take a win any way I can, but It's often frustrating to watch our players struggle. I thought Cuba did a good job against the USA (especially the way they passed to each other) & thought they would present a bigger threat to our goal, but that did not happen. I thought the defense did well. Segura was pretty solid in the back and fair in the attack. Umana will be a nice addition to the Sele along with Brenes. Of the young new guys, I feel that those two will be the ones that might survive in the Sele. Bollanos and Ruiz have not performed as expected. I hope they can turn that around and show us what they really can do. It is still early and after two games those are my feelings.
I love our team so much and I hope they can surprise everyone in CR, especially the critics who thought it was a mistake to not bring our "big" team to this tournament. I have mixed feelings about that because I think it is important to get international experience for these young players, but this is also the most important tournament of this region.
In any case, today I'm happy grilling burgers tonight, after watching our team win.
Un abraso a todos los ticos aqui en estados.
And thanks to Morado for moderating this thread or the Board (I think you're a moderator) In any case, I forgive you for following Barney.
Steven
P.S. Does anyone here in the states know anything about the Central American channel on cable or direct tv?
