Im not sure if you guys agree but I think its time to call Seba Battaglia to perform with the "A" albiceleste, I know all of them play in Europe but why not make an exception with such and outstanding ball winner, thoughts?

Is Seba Saja on the team yet?
Mario

not yet :( Cavallero is ahead of him, however I see no more competition in Bonano and Burgos!
Chino (Saja) should be fighting for start!

Defensas: Facundo Quiroga (Sporting Lisboa, POR), Roberto Ayala (Valencia, ESP), Walter Samuel (Roma, ITA), Diego Placente (Bayer Leverkusen, ALE), Gabriel Heinze (París Saint Germain, FRA)
Centrocampistas: Javier Zanetti (Inter, ITA), Juan Sebastián Verón (Chelsea, ING); Kily González (Valencia, ESP), Pablo Aimar (Valencia, ESP), Luis González (River Plate, ARG), Matías Almeyda (Inter, ITA), y Andrés D'Alessandro (Wolfsburgo, ALE)
Delanteros: Javier Saviola (Barcelona, ESP), Hernán Crespo (Inter, ITA), Claudio López (Lazio, ITA), Luciano Galletti (Real Zaragoza, ESP) y Diego Milito (Racing Club, ARG).

So a return to the seleccion albiceleste for Veron, Almeyda, Kily Gonzalez and Piojo Lopez. Can't say I'm real thrilled about any of those four coming back, except possibly for Veron. With this team it looks like he'll end up as the #5 in midfield.
No selection for Cambiasso, Coloccini and Gabriel Milito. I can see allowing Milito to settle with his new club but Coloccini should be an automatic selection in my view.
¿Luciano Galletti? ¿Why? ¿Leo Franco? Saja, Abbondanzieri and Costanzo are all better than he. Interesting that only Lucho Gonzalez and Diego Milito made the team from local league.
I hate Bielsa!

Re: locals in the albiceleste, I agree, it's weird and unfortunately I just dont see them as starters, Lucho in the left wing will face tough competition with Bielsa's favorite Kily Gonzalez and/or D'Alessandro, I wont even mention the playmaking rol, with Aimar and/or D'Alessandro ahead of him! TOO MUCH TALENT!!!
I'll play devil's advocate here, Galletti was tearing it up in Zaragoza, he lead the goalscoring charts for the maños to Primera in just one year (something Atletico Madrid couldnt accomplish) and Franco played quite well all year round, he even was mentioned to join Barcelona back in the day.

I figured as much. That man is taking a golden youth of Argentinian up and comers, and what does he do? He still plays Claudio Lopez. Now don't get me wrong, I love Piojo (check out one of the teams I support) But to say his best days are behind him is an understatement. So why does he keep playing him?
35 Mil for Crespo. Vaya.
