No one thought they could do it before the match, aside from their own supporters. Then at half time, everyone thought they were correct, and that liverpool were been played off the pitch by a incredibly class milan team who thought the match ended at half time, as most of us did(and judging by the faces of those in the crowd, id say even the liverpool supporters thought so too). And we all know how it ended, an extremely lucky, but also deserved victory.

Due to the fact that the CL99 final was a steaming heap of turd, entertainment wise, for 90 minutes you gotta give it to the Liverpool game, 120 minutes of see-saw football capped off with a penalty shootout, footballs own version of russian roulette, plus Utd were only a goal down, Liverpool were 3 nil down and looked out of it for sure, at one nil down you always have a chance to nick it.
