Did Sable actually say that? Just being curious. He did. Most of the time in the French league when St Etienne play against Marseille Sablé is interviewed because of the fact that he is native from the region. And as 99.99% of the people that are native from this region Marseille is "the club of his heart".

No No Boumsong is terrible you dont want him !he's still better than déhu by miles. the phrase Frédéric Déhu devra être absolument remplacé en cas de départ had me asking myself... why?

Quantity wise. If Dehu leaves we will have only Zubar, Civelli, Cesar as central defender. (I assume Meite is going to leave for England or Germany). That might not be enough for the whole season (even though BEye is excellent in the center). So if Dehu leaves, OM is going to look for a replacement, and if it is Boumsong it would be awesome.

Boumsong is a bad idea. He may have been the worst defender in the entire premiership this season. He and Silvestre are both awful, but for some reason both are being linked with top French clubs now. It doesn't make any sense to me at all. Better going for a younger centerback with more upside.
Re: Tomasson - This guy is over the hill I think. He's got only one or two good seasons left. Getting rid of a good, young defender just for a player I believe is about the quality of Pagis is a bit strange if you ask me.

So i dont care about what he has done this year. He has already proven his skill in France. Boumsong is way better than Déhu.

I never liked Dehu... So I can't hope to keep him.;)
Boumsong knows the French Ligue 1 and was pretty good in it. In Glasgow he was excellent. But he didn't adapt too well in England... yet, although I am sure that with another year under his belt, he would be one of the best out there.
So franckly, I'd rather have Boumsong, younger, faster, smarter, than old Dehu.

http://www.footmercato.net/l-echange-sable-luyindula-retarde_article6718.htmlAs mentioned in this news the exchange Sablé/Luyindula should be officialized in a couple of days.

I know Meite's contract is up and Dehu is on his way out, but Boumsong to replace them? I'd rather convert Beye into an established center back..

I agree with you that Boumsong was one of the best defenders at Ligue 1. But that was a two seasons ago story.
I watched some NUFC matches last season and he was soooooo bad. It won't be a good idea to bring a player who have had a couple of bad seasons and Bruno Cheyrou is a good example I guess.
Regarding Dehu, I did not say that he's good or something like that. But the point I meant is replacing a bad player with another bad one won't make any difference, it may make things worse.

As you can see i totaly disagree ^^ He has done 1 bad season in his whole career. Come on this is nothing... He was terrific at Auxerre and at the Rangers. I wont send him to the trash for only 1 bad season compared to all the very good ones ;) And i m not the only one who think so as he plays in our national team :p

I would take Boumsong in a second. Football fans are too fickle one bad seaon and people write a player with potential off as garbage... then if he has a good season again it's a come back and he's great again. The guy has talent and hoefully a change of scenery would revitilize him.

Riberý is stubborn. He won't return to Marseille now that he's made up his mind, especially not after the sucesfull world cup. Sell him expensivly to anybody but Lyon and don't waste the money on crap and I can live with it.

Latest rumor is that though he wants to go to Arsenal Real madrid are going to offer 26 mil for him as opposed to Arsenal's 10. I'd prefer to see him at Arsenal but of course I don't want to see Marseille get skinned. 26 mil and we better get a name replacement...

Is there even a minimal chance of getting Zidane? I'm sure he wouldn't mind ending his career with his favorite club :)

Since "Farfan" is here :) I wanted to ask what are the chances of Mendoza coming back.
To my understanding, we loaned him to Metallurg Donetsk (Ukr.), though I could be wrong.

Disagree. If OM are ever to reach another CL final or compete with Lyon for Le Championnat, they need to be able to keep their young talent. Ribery stays.

Diouf is one stubborn man I tell ya..
How can he be so blind? Isn't he a former agent??? He should know what it is like to go against one's will.
