Marseille close in on Cisse

Sounds like this move is gonna happen and I think with Cisse missing the entire WC with injury Liverpool will want to unload him. OM will get a totally rest player once the regular season begins, no?

No. Cisse will miss the start of the next season. Maybe a November return. It will be great if Marseille gets him and he returns to his old form. Marseille is desperate for more scoring. I wonder where in the standings L'OM would be if they had Cisse last season? My guess would be 2nd place. What's yours ?

I had no idea that his injury was that bad. I agree OM would have been much more potent with Ribery and Cisse. Cisse can score, just don't think his style works in Rafa Benitez's system.

Sébastien Hamel signed on a Free Transfer as back-up GK. Decent enough I guess.

Any of you Frenchmen have any further word on Ribery's thoughts? Over on the Lyon board they are claiming he wants to go there, but there's not much to back that up. I really really hope he stays at OM. Holding on to him and Nasri would be a big step for the club I think.

Well, He has made some comments that he wants to play in european cups (champions league) and OM can't guarentee that in short or medium term + the manager issues at OM he doesn't seem happy with. He's got a contract until 2010 so Lyon won't get him easily. But I got a feeling what Lyon wants, they usualy get.

Sure we will get alot of money if we sell him to Lyon. But we got alot of money for Drogba and that money bought us mostly crap. That's probably what will happen again. Hopefully we make some signings, qualify for the Uefa Cup via intertoto and keep Ribery & Taiwo. Diouf's statements seems to be that Ribery ain't going nowhere, but money talks.

I like OM, so I hope Ribery is going to stay. But he shouldn't make up his mind depending on the new players the team is going to sign or not. If he really likes the team, he should stay

It looks like Marseille are in contention for Pablo Aimar of Valencia.

Aimar isnt happening because he said he doesnt want to play in France. http://news.maxifoot.com/info-052212_60628/football.php Theres talk of a Meite-John Dahl Tomasson exchange with Stuttgart. This would be a good move because a Cisse-Tomasson attack would be pretty good.

Well, today SkySports reported that Tomasson said he doesn't want to leave Stuttgart...at least not yet. I do agree a Tomasson-Cisse combo would be interesting.
---
Shame Aimar doesn't want to come to us. I get a feeling he's gonna stay at Valencia, though.
---
Today, SkySports said that Diouf is gonna report Lyon over an illegal approach to Ribery (allegedly someone from the front office staff of Lyon tried to talk to Ribery while in Germany). I think that of course, that is wrong but if Ribery wants to leave, or what's more doesn't want to be at l'OM any longer, what is the point of trying to keep him? The l'OM front office is not exactly the smartest when it comes to transfer dealings (look at how many players have passed by us in the last few years), but if he doesn't want to stay with us (Ribery) we might as well try to cash in on him, and try to cash in on him big I suppose.

Ribery could be sold abroad to spite Lyon and Aulas.

Déhu is going to move from Marseille. Boumsong may replace him :

http://www.omnet.fr/depeche/index.php?dep_cle=2830It would be sweet to have Boumsong in our squad. Cissé + Boumsong two players from Auxerre ^^

We may recruit Julien Sablé from Saint Etienne too. We would exchange Luyindula to get him :

http://www.omnet.fr/depeche/index.php?dep_cle=2835It would be fantastic! Sablé is one of the best defensive midfileder. With Cana and Sablé we would have a terrific defensive midfielders lineup.

He he ^^ I love Boumsong. He was so strong at Auxerre. This year he wasn't good. But he has proven his valor in the past.

And with Cissé and Sablé we are recruiting ppl native from "la provence". Cissé is native from "Arles". And Sablé from "Aix en Provence" if i m not wrong.

I think Sable would be a great addition...from what I saw he was one of the better performers with St. Etienne (isn't he the captain?)
Boumsong would not be the best signing, but we could do far worse.
He has been a little inconsistent with Newcastle, but he didn't make the France NT for nothing.

Toulouse are in on Sable also.If Sablé move from St Etienne it can only be to go to Marseille. Marseille is the club "of his heart". He is native from there. So trust me if he moves then he gonna sign at l'OM ;)

Did Sable actually say that? Just being curious.
