Depends on the formation. Valbuena could play wide or in front of Cheyrou and Cana. Niang can play wide, as could Kone if he comes. Grandin is a good sub, but he's unlikely to start this year. I still think Ziani will leave.

Elmander signed with Bolton. There were actually some people on Omplanete who thought Elmander was coming and wanted to get rid of Cisse for him. :rolleyes:

Bolton? How...anticlimactic. He was linked with some pretty decent sized clubs.
I'd rather have Djibril, anyway.

Well they arent even the same type of player really. I know he was linked with bigger teams but I always thought he wouldnt end up at one. His season was kinda average and he didnt boost his value at the Euro based on his performance. Bolton seems about right for him now.

Even Alloudi can play as a wide AMF.I like Valbuena,but I still think he doesn't get the talent to be part of the start eleven.Niang ok,but I prefer a 4-4-2 than a 4-5-1...I hate when I remember Cissé playing "home alone" as a solo FW...

Taiwo's ability to go forward even somewhat allows for a certain lack of symmetry in the formation, with Niang drifting between left wing and forward and Taiwo coming forward to fill the left wing during attack. If I remember correctly Gerets did something like this during the second Lyon game, and a few other times.
Cheyrou will have a lot of responsibility linking the attack if we do go 4-4-2. I think he can, and did during the second half of last season, but what I'd be worried about would be it ending up something like what happened to Les Bleus during the Euro.

There's still a possibilty Ludovic Giuly could sign. He's looking for a return to France and OM are one of the teams. They should have signed him last year instead of Ziani but thats over now. Ziani is still an enormous talent and I have no idea why he failed last year. If he sticks around he's a very useful weapon. I suggest that Grandin be loaned out somewhere.

I suspect that it will be resolved at some point, but this is ridiculous.

I read that its looking more likely that Kone will stay with Nice. It will be interesting to see who they'll turn to if they dont get Kone. Ivan Klasnic ? Nantes are also recruiting him.

There are conflicting reports...skysports said the deal was pretty much done yesterday, with an article including quotes from Kone talking about how he looked forward to playing for the club, and the Ivorians who've played for OM in the past. Then Cohen said that the offers were still too low last night/this morning. Then, Diouf apparently said that it's likely to happen soon during today's friendly. So...who knows.

He had a great performance at Gerets & Galatasaray coaching era..

Marseille at some point was vinculated with Kim and Bobo.
No more.
Now,we want Koné.
Alloudi said he's almost a Marseille player.
So we have Zenden,Valbuena,Ben Arfa,Alloudi,Arrache as Offensive Midplayers.M'Bami,Cana,Akalé and Cheyrou as DMF.
We need at least one more Striker or OMF and a good Right-Back.
Sarioglu?Good player,could make the hard work.
