Very good news, in my opinion. And that seems to make it pretty unlikely Gomis or a big name striker will come, so if anything it will probably be Savidan or Gervinho or something like that.

Anyone knows something about the possibility of the transfer of Roberto Merino from Atromitos?

An old rumor of last winter. Seem to have been total fake.

The Kim deal is all but done, apparently. €8-9 million.

Yeah I had a feeling that they wouldnt be signing any bigger named forwards if Cisse and Niang were staying. Dreyfuss doesnt want to spend any more money. Too bad because if they added Gomis or Bobo they be much much better off. I dont think not having Champions League has anything to do with it. The probably wanted Kim or another sub all along.

Adding a centreback is still most important. If Coloccini or Basa (or anyone good there) comes, and most everyone who is fairly relevant stays, I'll be pretty happy.

Oh, DVB said he's not coming next season.

Kim is a winger so they dont need him to score a lot of goals anyways. Maybe theres still hope they can get another forward in there to back up Cisse because Kim plays out wide.

Probably someone like Savidan, or maybe someone young but not as expensive as Gomis.

Nope, it's only beginning. I think the 9M thing is just a base of negociation.

He's not worth that much. I have no doubt he's been a huge part of Nancy's success but get real. Imagine if they get 3rd and lose one of their best players. They dont even have much of a chance as is to win their CL qualifier. All the more reason for OM to get 3rd. Nancy have a huge match this weekend and maybe Diouf is trying to distrupt them by getting the Kim deal out in the media. Its a good strategy IMO. Maybe Kim will be thinking too much about OM this weekend instead of concentrating on Rennes. The team might be demoralized over the thought of losing him and that might allow Rennes to pounce on them. Maybe OM dont really want Kim and its all part of Diouf's strategy to get in their heads ha ha ha.

Ha, the Nasri and Cisse rumors are kicking up again today.

Yea, its going to be a long mercato.

Yeah, man. Its just crazy how one day a player can say he's staying or announce an extention and then the next day its written that they might leave. I don't understand it.

I think that minimum release clause included in Nasri's new contract pretty much says it all. And Cisse, well, he's been talking his a** off ever since he landed in Marseille. This is why I've come to respect the likes of Niang a whole lot more.

Yeah Cisse was complaing about the fans booing him.

He's a very emotional guy...there were times near the beginning of the season when he looked like he wanted to cry. I think he's likely to stay, though, despite these comments. To me, it is much more likely that Nasri leaves.

Well I think Nasri needs to stay. I know he's over rated and inconsistant but do you really think they could get a player just as good to take his spot ? No way. Remember how badly Ziani turned out. Try to go with whay you have and build from there. This team as is isnt too far away. They just need a few addition pieces. Selling Nasri would mean they'd be going backwards. Again, he's not irreplaceable but they will probably make another blunder signing if he goes. I'm sure they'd like Gourcouff or Menez but its not certain they can get them and I dont wanna give you Menez.:)

It's up to him, mainly, with this clause in his contract. Arsenal (or whoever) just have to hit that magic number, and if Samir wants to go then he can.

I'm all for as much continuity as possible, so I'd like to see him stay.

my bro-in-law is an OM fan, and on the way to our sunday morning match we were discussing cissé & nasri...

he's convincing djib's on the way out but we didn't get into it far enough for me to know if it's just his feeling or hard news.

as far as samir is concerned though, he had the mike in his face at halftime, and said this was probably (maybe he even said certainly, i can't 100% remember) his last match in the vélodrome. if he hadn't just signed an expension you could interpret that as bargaining talk, but as it is, it looks pretty clear he's the young french international arsčne's been on about, not HBA.
