Maxifoot said thats its hard to imagine Ricardo giving up on Piquionne this winter.

Dang. It's not that I dislike Piquionne really, it's more that I don't think his value will increase and I don't see him having a role in the team in years ahead.

He mentioned Elmander, too. Which is a bit interesting. I've read that Napoli are said to be going after him.

Marseille have made an offer for Kaboré from Libourne Saint-Seurin, but face competition from a few big clubs.

Alright, City got Nery Castillo. So I doubt they'd be after Mamadou anymore.

Charles Kaboré is, in fact, coming to Marseille. First official signing of the season. From what I've read, it seems to be a very good signing.

What position does he play ? They need 2 defenders IMO.

He is a defensive midfielder.
There were some rumors about the left linebacker of Boca Junior, Krupoviesa to come to l'OM but it seems like he finally won't sign.

I think I saw on Sky today that Marseille did finally get Krupoviesa's signature. Does anybody know anything about this player?

I've seen him play.
LB: not good enough to start for Boca (he was starting when he 1st signed from Estudiantes but due to injury lost his spot to Morel-Rodriguez and then to Clemente). Ever since, he's been a "squad player", at best.

On Setanta Sports, they say that Marseille is interested in Everton's James McFadden.

OM looking to recruit 1 or 2 attackers

McFadden is mentioned in this article but a host of foreign players are names such as Milan Jovanovic(Standard Leige), Javier Saviola, Vagner Love (CSKA Moscow), Rodrigo Palacio (Boca Juniors), Gustavo Denis (Independiente),Filip Holosko (Manisaspor), Alexander Kerzhakov (FC Seville), Nikola Zigic (Valencia). The French players they have been linked with are the same old names. Bafe Gomis (Saint-Etienne), Johan Elmander (Toulouse), Frederic Piquionne (Monaco), Tulio De Melo (Mans) and Guillaume Hoarau (Le Havre).
I bet the players they end up getting will be names no one is linking them with:)

Isn't Tulio De Melo going to Livorno, or some Italian club?
I've seen all the names mentioned, except Holosko. I'd be a bit surprised if it didn't end up being Hoarau. Palacio would be great, but I think I read that Juve are interested. That didn't mention Sand, I wonder if they just left him off or what.

I think McFadden would be great for you, he's not up to pace in the Premiership, but in a slower game, like Ligue Un, he could be the fantastic player that he is for Scotland.

How much do you think he would cost?

British players dont come to France anymore. I highly doubt he'd come to Marseille when he can go to Celtic or another EPL team.
