i watched brazil-ecuador last night and he seemed more than adequate.
but it would be cooler if he had a PhD, so he could put DOCTOR VAGNER LOVE on his jersey... (VoH would still have him beat though)

The only thing I think of is he's probably better than Moussilou...

VL is despised by most Brazilians (despised is probably not the best choice for the word, but when it comes to squad selections, he's definitely not a fan's favourite).
In fact, during the Copa America, he wasted chance after chance (he only scored against Chile in the 6-0 debacle, but then again anyone could've scord on us that nite). :o
In Russia, however, he is considered one of the best strikers. I don't know if that means he would be good enough for l'OM. :confused:

seems like most of the french OM supporters have had it with Cisse already after that missed penalty. he can be thankful that the game wasn't played at home because the whistles would have been heard across the atlantic.
my guess is that a lot of people will want to trade him this winter.

Noone will pay any decent amount for him now, so he'll probably just come off the bench. I don't mind him sticking around, as long as another striker is brought in and Cisse is coming off the bench until he does something which forces Gerets to put him back in the starting 11.

I think Gerets' biggest conundrum is how to get the best of both Nasri and Valbuena now that Nasri is back from injury. It definitely didn't work at Bonal, where Valbuena was basically anonymous (he didn't show up on any of the highlights of the simulcast I was watching, and the commentator at Bonal said he had a bad game). We did see highlights of Nasri, who appeared decent (although the commentators could have been highlighting him because of his coming off injury). I didn't watch the match against Porto, though Valbuena was given mixed ratings by the magazines, so was it only at Anfield where he displayed his best?
In any event, I think if OM are to get out of their mess, Cissé has to do something. As aforementioned, I'm not a fan of his at all, but expect if Marseille are expecting Matt Moussilou to save the day (yeah, as if that's going to happen), he's got to be of use.

I dont think they will give up on Cisse anytime soon. Diouf has made a big investment in him. I think he will be there for a few years. Fans need to be patient. He's still the best you've got. Moussilou sucks. A healthy Cisse-Wanger Love combination wouldnt be too bad.

I agree Cissé would be the best option at striker, though if he is to become that, he'll have to overcome the caustic cacophony of boos.

Beye's departure has hurt the team. He left late so I dont think they had time to find a decent replacement.

Lorik Çana does "mouille le maillot" which is what Marseilles' fans like but he's limited technically and tactically, above all he commits too many fouls...

I used to look up to him. He and other players formed clans inside the Albanian NT and played bad on purpose just to sack Baric. He got a yellow against Belarus on purpose in injury time just so he wont play the next game. Lorik is a gifted player technically and tactically it is not the problem. He is getting very big headed and thinks he is better than anyone else. He stopped doing the things he does and now is just for show. His father overhypes him and it gets to his head. Him and some other players think its their team when in reality it is not. The same thing will happen in OM. Hes gonna leave just because he thinks he is better than anybody else. Lorik forgot what he does best and is becoming a clown. I have no respect for him. He needs to shut up and play and if he doesn't like the coaches tactics does not mean he needs to lose and not try.
