at Real he wouldn't sit on the bench though. He is seen as the alternative to Kaka'. And how long is he out for?
Thats a poor alternative to Kaka if you ask me. Kaka has been a great player for a while now. Nasri hasnt even had 1 great full season yet. He is not an established star.

Niang injured for a while and they never repaced Pagis so they are severly lacking in that area. They wont spend money on anyone decent who can help make a difference in the title chase. 'C' level guys like Marcus Allback are who they will try to get.

who knows...
nobody was talking about zenden, but they signed him.
ok he's not a top class player but certainly not a 'C' lvl guy ;)
fmpov they are searching for good L1 striker or a foreign striker free from contract.
obviously, we cannot aford a top foreign player with a contract.

Carrasso has been awarded a two-year contract extension. He's with OM till 2011.

I've always fancied him as a future great goalkeeper except there might be a tragic flaw in him: he learned from the wrong mentor.

Carrasso is a joke considering his age and the fact that he does not know how to block a ball he`ll be benched by Mandanda before Easter...

fmpov he still have to confirm with a fullfilled season in L1 if he wants to move to a big club AND not being benched...

MARSEILLE are the latest club linked with a move for Celtic striker Maciej Zurawski.
The Pole is aware of reports circulating back home that the French club have targeted him. As yet, no contact has been made with either the player or Celtic.
The hitman - who cost £2.2m from Wisla Krakow two years ago and who turns 31 next month - was disappointed not to get on during Wednesday's 1-1 draw against Spartak Moscow.
Kenny Miller had to pull out with a tight hamstring on the morning, and Scott McDonald was promoted to play alongside Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink.
Even when McDonald and Vennegoor had to some off through exhaustion and injury respectively, Zurawski was left on the bench as Gordon Strachan put on defender Gary Caldwell and midfielder Aiden McGeady.
Strachan told SportTimes after Zurawski started the first game of the season - a goalless draw against Kilmarnock - he was confident the Polish international would come good again.
Zurawski also stated he wanted to fight for his place and stay for at least another year. His contract has a season still to run, with the club holding the option of a further year.
The real test for both Celtic and the player will come with an offer from Marseille or any other club in the final two weeks of this transfer window.
Vennegoor and McDonald are expected to retain the starting positions at Aberdeen on Sunday if the big Dutchman recovers from the injury he got when he collided with the Spartak keeper.
Massimo Donati was also forced to limp out of the action in Moscow and required a strapping on an ankle.
Lee Naylor was another who suffered on Spartak's plastic pitch and his back is causing discomfort. Like the rest of the walking wounded, the full-back will be checked before the squad is formalised for the trip to Pittodrie.
With Miller - who is still a doubt for Sunday - and Jarosik unfit in midweek, and with the rule to have two U-21 players in his squad, Strachan has plenty of thinking ahead of a game which was always going to be tough on the back of midweek exertions.
Artur Boruc, however, returned to training today, boosting the keeper options.
Strachan said: "Everything was against our players in Moscow. We were playing against a top side, there was a three-hour time difference and the game was on a surface which we were not used to at all.
"But if anyone had told me before the game we would have got a score draw away from home, I would have taken it like a shot."
Season ticket holders have until Wednesday to purchase tickets for the second leg on August 29, with phone and internet facilities available, including over the weekend. Any tickets left are due to go on public sale from Thursday.
Adam Virgo today joined Championship outfit Colchester on a six-month loan deal.Kinda old news, but I noticed no one mentioned anything about this.

Don't see that happening. Emon seems to like Valbuena a lot. He's come on as a substitute in almost every game where we've needed a goal.

Hmm..not sure how to feel about this. Brazil fans don't seem too fond of him, but of course they're quite demanding. He's done pretty well for CSKA.

Well, as a fan of the Seleção, I can say that he definitely isn't a top class striker, I mean, I think Cissé is a better player, but he'd be better than what OM have now, as I've always thought of Niang as a winger.
Not that it's that important, but wouldn't he be cup-tied?

He would be a good signing for Marseille, but he definitely not top class. He did turn the head of Gallas in a champions league match last year. He didn't score though so it wasn't so bad.
